    • PURPOSE:To prevent deformations or breakages of an eliminable model positively by unifying the fusional state of foam beads eliminable model irrespective of its wall thickness, and stabilizing the superficial property for improving the molding qualities and, besides, enhancing the mold-releasing property of the eliminable model. CONSTITUTION:A molding apparatus for an eliminable model for casting is of the type where foam beads 11 are filled into a mold 6 and steam pressure is applied to the foam beads 11 for effecting foam-molding, and on the back of the mold 6 equipped with a number of air bents 8, a wall thickness side evaporation chamber 12 and a thin wall side evaporation chamber 13 are formed respectively which are partitioned corresponding to the wall thickness part and thin wall part of the eliminable model. Then, an evaporation supplying means 18 is provided which acts to render the evaporation pressure supplied to the wall thickness side evaporation chamber 12 higher than the evaporation pressure supplied to thin wall side evaporation chamber 13 at the time of effecting foam-molding, and further air introducing means 26 is provided which assists in introducing pressurized air into the wall thickness evaporation side chamber 12 during the mold-releasing period.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of wear resistance caused by structure change of a cylinder liner by feeding cooling gas into a bore core just before temp. of the cylinder liner reaches A1 transformation point after inserting the cylinder liner as internal chill to rapidly cool the cylinder liner. CONSTITUTION:In a sand mold 3 arranged with cavity 4 for pouring molten metal, the sand having coarse and good gas permeability is packed into a bore core 5 in the cylinder liner 2, and also a venting hole 6 communicated with the bore core 5 from lower part of the sand mold 3 is arranged. At the time of filling up molten metal 7 into the cavity 4 in the sand mold 3 by executing pouring of the molten metal under this condition, the cylinder liner 2 is inserted with cast iron as internal chill, and accompanying to this, temp. of the cylinder liner 2 is rapidly raised. Then, by feeding the cooling gas just before the temp. of cylinder liner 2 reaches A1 transformation point, the cooling gas reaches the inner circumferential face 2a of cylinder liner 2 from the venting hole 6 through inner part of the core bore 5 of coarse sand to rapidly cool the cylinder liner 2. Therefore, the pearlitic structure having high wear resistance is held.

CONSTITUTION:In manufacture of the four cylinder cast iron-made cylinder block, at first at the time of filling up the internal chilling material in a mold M after starting the pouring of molten metal from a sprue 6, the molten metal surface level reaches the left end of a runner 5 to cause the molten metal to flow in the pouring basin parts 3, 3. After the molten metal surface level in the pouring basin parts 3, 3 reaches the position of bypass passage 4, the molten metal is caused to flow into the side parts 1a, 1a of cylinder block. Further, the pouring is executed until the molten metal is sufficiently filled up to upper end of the mold, and by removing the mold and a core after solidifying, the cylinder block 1 with the cylinder liner 2 formed with high wear resistant cast iron inserted into the cast iron as internal chill is obtd. Therefore, by executing the pouring from the bypass passage 4, temp. uniformity at outer circumference of the liner 2 is improved and the mechanical connection is strengthened.

A retractor mounting part 1c is provided in a position separated from the first metal frame body 11 in the upper part of the resin frame body 20, and a cross section bending part 20a is formed along substantially the vertical direction below the retractor mounting part 1c in the resin frame body 20. A retractor 85 is mounted on the retractor mounting part 1c through a retractor supporting bracket 80, and the retractor supporting bracket 80 is joined to the frame body 11 and the bending part 20a.

By this electric conduction, the necessary part in the cylinder liner, i.e., the circumferential faces facing to the direction perpendicularly crossed to bore line direction of the cylinder liner 2 is concentrically preheated. Then, after suitably preheating the necessary position of cylinder linear 2, the pouring of molten metal to the mold is executed to inert the cylinder liner 2 as internal chill, and after solidifying, the mold and the core 1 are removed to obtain the cast iron-made cylinder block S inserting the cast iron-made cylinder liner 2 as internal chill.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacture of a panel by sticking a masking tape which can be brought to thermal shrinkage to a thermal welding scheduled part of a car body panel, and thereafter, painting the panel and drying it, shrinking a masking seal, aligning the other material therewith and welding it to an exposed part of the car body panel. CONSTITUTION:In a press process, a flange part 2 is formed in the end part of three sides of an outer panel 1. Subsequently, a masking seal 4 of a vinyl chloride compound, etc., is stuck to a welding scheduled part 3. The outer panel 1 is brought to electrodeposition, dried in a high temperature atmosphere, brought to baking processing, and a thermal shrinkage processing is executed to the masking seal 4. The panel 1 is combined with an inner panel 5 and the welding scheduled part 3 exposed from the seal 4 due to thermal shrinkage and a welding scheduled part of the panel 5 are welded to each other by a high current from an electrode, and an assembly of a door panel is ended. In such a way, an unpainted panel ground can be exposed easily from the masking seal and the manufacture can be simplified.
