    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing tool which does not require overbreak across the entire periphery of a main pipe when the tool is mounted to the main pipe, and its mounting method.
      SOLUTION: This closing tool 10 blocks a hole 52 formed on a main pipe 50 when a mounting pipe mounted to the main pipe 50 is removed, and includes a saddle 12, an upright pipe 14 and a lid 16. A bottom face of the saddle 12 is a joint face 18 to the main pipe 50. Then, by drawing the presser tool (30) arranged inside and outside the main pipe 50 with a restraining tool (32), joint faces of the closing tool 10 and the main pipe 50 are pressure fitted with each other. Accordingly, when the closing tool is jointed with the main pipe, there is no need of wind an annealing wire around the main pipe, and therefore, there is no need of overbreak across the entire periphery of the main pipe.
