    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioning ventilation system for a rapid transit railroad vehicle capable of downsizing its cooling device and also of performing a constant quantity of ventilation irrespective of the cooling ability.
      SOLUTION: The air-conditioning ventilation system is to perform ventilation for inside the compartment 1a of the railroad vehicle 1 at all times and structured so that an air feed duct 2 to take in the air by an air feed fan 4 into the compartment from outside the vehicle and an exhaust duct 3 to exhaust the air outside from the compartment 1a by a fan 5 are connected with the compartment 1a. The upstream part 6a of the air duct 6 is connected with the compartment 1a while the downstream part 6b is connected with the compartment 1a in isolation from the upstream part 6a. The air duct 6 is fitted with the cooling device 7 of air cyclic type, and the downstream part 2a of the air feed duct 2 is connected with the duct portion 6d downstream of the cooling device 7.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire shutter device between railroad vehicles preventing fire spread to an adjacent vehicle and entering of a fire and smoke by immediately cutting off a gangway between the vehicles at the occurrence of a fire of the vehicle, allowing persons to pass therethrough during the cut-off state of the gangway and being mountable to an existing vehicle.
      SOLUTION: This fire shutter device between the railroad vehicles is provided with a cloth fireproofing screen 4 provided between the end face 3a of a hood device 3 covering the circumference of the gangway between the vehicles and gable faces 12 of a vehicle body 11, stored on the hood device 3 with its rolled up thereon and, at a fire, suspended therefrom to cut off the gangway 2. The fireproofing screen 4 is so constituted as to allow the passing of persons even in a state of cutting off the gangway 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioning ventilation system of a high-speed railroad vehicle using a cooling device of an air cycle system.
      SOLUTION: The air-conditioning ventilation system of the high-speed railroad vehicle is constituted such that the cooling device 12 of the air cycle system (composed of a compressor 12A, a heat exchanger 12B, and an expansion machine 12C) is installed in an air supply duct 2 communicating to the cabin of the railroad vehicle. The upstream and downstream of the cooling device 12 are connected to each other through a first bypass passage 13 which is provided with a first variable flow valve 14. The temperature of a cooling wind into the cabin is adjusted by controlling the valve 14, while pressure is in the vehicle controlled by regulating the revolving speed of an air exhaust fan 41. A dehumidifying device 11 is installed upstream of the cooling device 12, and the upstream and downstream of the dehumidifying device 11 are connected to each other through a second bypass passage 21 which is provided with a second variable flow valve 22. The humidity of the cooling wind into the cabin is adjusted by controlling the valve 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a joint for one-side welding from being easily broken by forming edge parts of members overlapped on the outside of a lap joint of one-side welding into comb-shapes and performing welding along the comb- shaped edge parts. SOLUTION: Each end part of face plates 12 and 13 to be joined to each of upper and lower surfaces of an end member 11 as a lap joint w1 is formed into a comb-shape (b) and fillet welding is performed from the outside along the comb-shaped edge part. Because of this comb-shaped joint w1, breaking due to shearing is made difficult to generated. Further, even if bending moment is generated according to displacement of the end member 11 to a right side by deformation at the time of impact, welding bead is difficult to be broken against the bending moment by a length corresponding to depths of comb teeth. Because welding bead of the joint w1 is difficult to be broken in this way, an event of breaking between the end member 11 and the face plates 12/13 is difficult to be generated and an end beam 1 is capable of absorbing impact energy by face outside deformation of the face plates 12/13.
