SOLUTION: The hemispherical parts 2U, 2L of a segment holder 2 are fitted into the center part of a screw segment Sc and at the same time, the hemispherical parts 1U, 1L of another segment holder 1 are fitted into the center part of a screw segment Sb to be stripped. Further, the hemispherical parts 2U, 2L are clamped with bolts 2a and at the same time, the segment holder 2 is screwed into a platen 3 to fixe a screw shaft Sa. In additon, the hemispherical part 1U, 1L are clamped with other bolts 1a to hold the screw segment Sb using the other segment holder 1. After that, the screw segment Sb is heated up and then a hydraulic cylinder 4 is actuated to strip the screw segment Sb.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the adequate absorption of a difference in the twist angles of two output shafts, if the size of a biaxial extruder is large. SOLUTION: This drive device for a biaxial extruder consists of output parts 21, 21 and input parts 16, 18 mounted on two output shafts 19, 20 respectively, and an extrusion shaft is connected to each of the output parts 21 and a rotating power is entered to each of the input parts 16, 18. In addition, the distance between the output parts 21 and the input parts 16, 18 varies according to each of the output shafts 19, 20, and the difference in the twist angles of the two output shafts 19, 20 is offset by providing a difference in the diameters of the output shafts 19, 20. In this case, the output shaft 20 with a longer distance between the output parts 21 and the input parts 16, 18 is divided between the output parts 21 and the input parts 18 and the divided parts are connected together with a spline coupling 26.
