    • PURPOSE: To assure sufficient strength and workability even if a unit cement quantity relating to a temp. stress is decreased by decreasing the unit cement quantity and compounding a high-performance water-reducing agent or the high-performance water-reducing agent and welan gum. CONSTITUTION: The unit cement quantity is made smaller by >=10kg/m than the design compounding and the high-performance water-reducing agent, such as β-naphthalene sulfonnate, etc., is compounded at 0.01 to 0.1wt.% and the welan gum at 0 to 0.1wt.% of the unit water volume, by which the unit cement quantity is decreased to and the unit water volume for obtaining prescribed slump is decreased by 5 to 10kg/m at the time of producing dam concrete by mixing the necessary unit cement quantity under compounding design of the slump value of 0 to 6cm to obtain the dam concrete having the target strength. As a result, the water cement ratio does not increase and the compressive strength does not degrade even if the unit cement quantity is decreased by about 10 to 20kg/m . The degradation in viscosity is suppressed and the cost reduction is attained by addition of an admixture (high-performance water-reducing agent + welan gum).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a non-segregate concrete in water excellent in self-filling property and capable of stably executing a high quality concrete structure in water by adding a hydroxyethylcellulose modified to be hydrophobic as a thickener jointly with a dispersant. SOLUTION: In a hydraulic cement blended with a thickener as a non- segregate mixing agent in water and the dispersant as a fluid mixing agent, the hydroxyethylcellulose modified to be hydrophobic (preperably a water soluble polymer in which hydroxyethylcellulose is substituted with >=0.2wt.% 10-24C alkyl group) is used as the thickener. In this way, this concrete is self-filled around an arrangement of reinforcement and till every corners of a form without a material separation even if the concrete is used for underwater execution and the high quality concrete structure is stably executed in the water because an increase of viscosity of a cement based kneaded matter is low when the hydroxyethylcellulose modified to be hydrophobic is blended in the cement based kneaded matter as compared to an unmodified hydroxyethylcellulose and the kneaded matter exhibits excellent underwater non-segregation property.
