    • PURPOSE:To eliminate undesirable rolling due to meandering and to obtain a rolled product of high quality by attaching a bending-force providing means adjacently to a take-up roll and preventing the meandering of a rolling stock perfectly and easily. CONSTITUTION:The revolving axes 20, 21 of take up rolls 17, 18 are supported by bearings 22, 22, and further bearing boxes 23, 23 are attached to the axes 20, 21 at the outsides of bearings 22, 22 by allowing the axes 20, 21 to penetrate through the boxes 23, 23, and hydraulic cylinder devices 24, 24 and rod parts 24a, 24a are preferably connected to the boxes 23, 23 as the bending means of axes 20, 21. When the meandering of a rolling stock 19 is generated, the actuated forces of devices 24, 24 are transmitted to the rolls 17, 18 through the boxes 23, 23 to provide proper bendings to the rolls 17, 18. By this construction, the tension of stock 19 can be made ununiformed in its width direction, and the stock 19 is moved to the smaller tension side; therefore the meandering of stock 19 is easily prevented by conforming its moving direction to the correcting direction of meandering through said mechanism.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a sheet thickness control excellent in responsiveness, stability, and accuracy by changing the speed ratio of work rolls in accordance with the deviation between a target sheet thickness and a sheet thickness at the outlet side computed basing on the output signals of a sheet thickness detecting device and a speed detecting device. CONSTITUTION:A detected sheet thickness H1X is outputted by a delay circuit 21 as an estimated value H1M of sheet thickness at the inlet side of the 1st pass, and an arithmetic circuit 22 of outlet side sheet thickness computes as estimated value h1M of sheet thickness at the outlet side of the 1st pass, and a delay circuit 23 outputs an estimated value H2M of sheet of sheet thickness at the inlet side of the 2nd pass. An outlet-side sheet-thickness arithmetic circuit 24 computes in the same way an estimated value h2M of sheet thickness at the outlet side of the 2nd pass, and computes also an estimated value h3M of sheet thickness at the outlet side of the final pass. Next, an arithmetic device 30 computes the deviation between a target value h3R and a detected sheet thickness h3X, and outputs a correction signal DELTAh3R to add it to an arithmetic device 40. The device 40 adds the value, obtained by correcting the deviation between the values h3R and h3M by the signal DELTAh3R, to arithmetic circuits 41, 42, and the circuit 41 computes a target correcting quantity DELTAS of total draft positions, and the circuit 42 computes a target value correcting quantity V3 of roll speed. A changeover switch 43 adds the correcting quantity DELTAS or DELTAV3 to a rolling reduction controlling device.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture stably a steel sheet having a uniform sheet thickness by housing each roll chock of upper and lower rolls in a main housing of a multisage multipass rolling mill and housing each roll chock of intermediate rolls in a subhousing supported by the main housing. CONSTITUTION:In case of rolling a steel sheet 1 by a multistage multipass mill consisting of upper and lower rolls 2, 3 and intermediate rolls 4, 4; a roll chock 5 of the upper roll 2 is supported by a main housing 10 through a rolling-reduction screw 7, and a chock 6 of the lower roll 3 is supported by the housing 10 through a hydraulic cylinder 9, and a balancing cylinder 11 is interposed between both chocks 5, 6. Each of roll chocks 12, 13 of the upper and lower intermediate rolls 4, 4 is also supported by a subhousing 16 through a rolling-reduction screw 14 and a hydraulic cylinder 15. The subhousing 16 is fixed to the main housing 10 through connecting members 17, 18. Because each of the chocks 5, 6, 12, 13 is directly supported at its upper and lower parts by the rolling-reduction screw and the hydraulic cylinder, the sheet position is not deviated even when a rolling force fluctuates, and a steel sheet of uniform sheet thickness is stably manufactured.
