    • PURPOSE:To manufacture stably a steel sheet having a uniform sheet thickness by housing each roll chock of upper and lower rolls in a main housing of a multisage multipass rolling mill and housing each roll chock of intermediate rolls in a subhousing supported by the main housing. CONSTITUTION:In case of rolling a steel sheet 1 by a multistage multipass mill consisting of upper and lower rolls 2, 3 and intermediate rolls 4, 4; a roll chock 5 of the upper roll 2 is supported by a main housing 10 through a rolling-reduction screw 7, and a chock 6 of the lower roll 3 is supported by the housing 10 through a hydraulic cylinder 9, and a balancing cylinder 11 is interposed between both chocks 5, 6. Each of roll chocks 12, 13 of the upper and lower intermediate rolls 4, 4 is also supported by a subhousing 16 through a rolling-reduction screw 14 and a hydraulic cylinder 15. The subhousing 16 is fixed to the main housing 10 through connecting members 17, 18. Because each of the chocks 5, 6, 12, 13 is directly supported at its upper and lower parts by the rolling-reduction screw and the hydraulic cylinder, the sheet position is not deviated even when a rolling force fluctuates, and a steel sheet of uniform sheet thickness is stably manufactured.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a roller lever which can widen the range of a correctable plate thickness by providing plural sub rollers having different body sizes in the outside circumferential parts of main upper and lower rolls and selecting the combination of the sub rollers. CONSTITUTION:This roller leveler 5 is provided with a pair of upper and lower large diameter main rolls 6, 7 which can be respectively vertically moved and driven to rotate as well as plural small diameter sub rolls which are disposed on the outside circumferences of the rolls 6, 7 and have different body diameters. More specifically, the sub rolls 8a-8h having successively different diameters are provided to, for example, the roll 6 and respectively two pieces of the sub rolls 8i, 8j, 8k, 8f having different diameters are provided to the roll 7. The roll 8a of, for example, the roll 6 and the rolls 8i, 8j of the roll 7 are selected according to the thickness of a rolled plate 3 to be corrected and the rotation and vertical movement of the rolls 6, 7 are adjusted to position the roll 8a and the rolls 8i, 8j so as to sandwich the pass line. The range of the plate thickness that can be corrected is thus made wide by selecting the combination of the sub rolls.

    • PURPOSE: By fitting a gear in one end of one of an upper and a lower gears, preparing a pressure liquid passage at the fitting part and setting a running fit gear and its driving device to another end, to carry out gear phase adjustment easily, prolong the gear life and decrease the frequency of gear replacement.
      CONSTITUTION: An outlet of pressure liquid is opened at the end face of the B side of the lower drum axle 4, the pressure liquid passage 20 is given an outlet 19 on the outer circumferential surface of the drum and the lower gear 16 is fitted and fixed at a given amount of interference. The upper and lower gears 5, 6 are fixed with keys at the A side of the upper and lower drum axles respectively, at the side of the lower gears 6 are prepared a gear of running fit with a projection which interlocks the upper gear 5 and a member 11 driving the gear of running fit. The pressure oil is sent to the pressure liquid passage 20, the internal diameter of the lower gear 16 is expanded, the lower gear 16 is brought into running fit, the upper and lower gears 15, 16 are interlocked, the oil pressure is made free, the lower gear is clamped and fixed to the axle 4 at the interference. Thereby the gear phases at both ends of the axle can be met easily.

In the state in which no backlash is caused between the upper and lower gear 9, 10, send the pressure oil into the pressure oil passage 8 of the lower drum axle 4, operate the pressure to expand the internal diameter to the fitting part between the lower drum axle 4 fixed with an interference and the lower gear 6, loosen the interference, and fit the lower gear 6 to the upper gear 5 giving clearance between the lower gear 6 and the lower drum axle 4. And, if the pressure oil is removed, the lower gear 6 is clamped and fixed to the lower drum axle 4 under the interference and the gear phases are agreed.
