    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver which suppresses the deterioration of image quality, when frame rate conversion is performed by overlapping OSD images in the television receiver, and to provide a video display method for the receiver.
      SOLUTION: In the television receiver which corrects the image quality of a video signal including an input moving image, after inserting an OSD image in an OSD image insertion part 8, and performs the frame rate conversion in a frame rate conversion part 9, the frame rate conversion part executes frame rate conversion accompanied, by moving image frame interpolation to a video image including the moving image in a screen of one frame to be video displayed; and meanwhile, frame-rate conversion, which no moving image interpolation accompanies, is selectively executed on the OSD image, frame interpolation of the video signal including the moving image is performed to display the video signal as a video image with the OSD images on a display panel 10.
