    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating and irradiating apparatus which performs irradiation with a charged particle beam with a light weight and high positional precision and which is used for particle beam therapy.
      SOLUTION: The rotating and irradiating apparatus is provided with: a rotating gantry 1 to which a charged particle beam irradiation apparatus 8 and beam transportation apparatuses 9 and 10 guiding the charged particle beam to the irradiation apparatus 8 are fitted; and a rotary body supporting apparatus 16 having a rotatable roller 12 supporting the rotating gantry 1 contacting with an annular member included in the rotating gantry 1. The rotating and irradiating apparatus is further provided with: a front ring 3 contacting with the roller 12 of the rotary body supporting apparatus 16 at one end part in the axial direction of the rotation gantry 1; a rear ring 4 contacting with the roller 12 of the rotary body supporting apparatus 16 at the other end part in the axial direction of the rotation gantry 1; and at least one middle ring 5 contacting with the roller 12 of the rotary body supporting apparatus 16 at a different position in the axial direction of the rotation gantry 1 between the front ring 3 and the rear ring 4.

      SOLUTION: The rotary irradiation apparatus has a rotary gantry 3 in which a beam conveying device 11 for conveying the ion beam employed for corpuscular beam treatment and an irradiation apparatus 4 are formed, radial supporting devices 61A and 61B which support the front ring 19 of the rotary gantry 3, and radial supporting devices 61A and 61B which support the rear ring 20 of the rotary gantry 3. These radial supporting devices 61A and 61B have linear guides 41, respectively. In the radial supporting devices 61A and 61B, an upper part supporting body above the linear guide 41 is movably installed in the rotary shaft direction of the rotary gantry 3 in the lower part supporting body below the linear guide 41.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent an abnormality or an accident in a hydraulic system and facilitate adjustment in a neutral point by positioning a movable part comprising a valve body and a rotor by applying force to the part in the circumferential direction and so returning the valve body to a predetermined position when the driving means is disconnected. CONSTITUTION:A part of a movable part comprising a valve body 1 and a rotor 6 in a rotary valve is connected integrally to such a solid part as each casing 2, 3 or a magnet 7 by means of a spring. Accordingly, due to restoring force of the spring, the valve body 1 or the rotor 6 is returned to a predetermined position, thereby positioning it. For example, the valve body 1 and the casing 3 are connected together integrally with a coil spring 22. When the input to the rotary valve is disconnected, the valve body 1 is thus returned to a predetermined position from its displacement position by means of tensile force or restoring force of the coil spring 22. Therefore, an accident in a hydraulic system which is caused by only the fluid force of working oil acting on the valve body 1 at the time of power failure or input line disconnection can be prevented.
