    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the space factor of a stator coil in a slot of a stator and to facilitate winding of the stator coil in the slot.
      SOLUTION: The core comprises an annular outer core, and an inner core where a plurality of slots for winding the stator coil periodically open to the outer circumferential side, and the slot is formed to have the substantially same width from the inner circumferential side to the end of outer circumferential opening so that the stator coil is arranged in line. Consequently, the space factor of the stator coil in the slot can be enhanced. Furthermore, since the outer circumferential opening of each slot can be spaced apart in the circumferential direction, the stator coil can be prevented from being inserted into an adjacent slot accidentally in winding and the stator coil can be wound easily in the slot.

For the second three-phase winding U21 and U22, each single-phase coil is divided in two and are inserted in two slots. The number of turns of the first three-phase winding U1 is n, and when the number n of turns is odd, the number n of turns of the two coils U21 and U22 of the second three-phase winding U2 are (n+1)/2 each; and when the number of turns is even, the number of turns of the two coils of the second three-phase winding is n/2 and n/2+1. Either coil between the two coils of the second three-phase winding is arranged in the same slot as the in-phase coil of the first three-phase winding.
