    • PURPOSE:To alleviate thermal stress on a joint area, and to improve pressure resistance and airtightness in a laminated heat exchanger, by a method wherein a metal sheet of low thermal conductivity of which thermal expansion coefficient is in the middle of those of aluminum and alumina, of which thermal expansion coefficients are largely different from each other is inserted between aluminum and alumina. CONSTITUTION:A laminated heat exchanger is composed of aluminum heat transfer fins 2, aluminum headers 4a and 4b, and alumina heat insulating sheets 1a. In the process of manufacturing of a heat exchanger by diffused jointing, each material gets contacted by each thermal expansion coefficient when it is cooled down from the temperature at which diffused jointing has been taken place. At the time when the temperature returns to normal temperature, the difference between both thermal expansion coefficients comes out as residual stress in the neighborhood of joint area of aluminum and alumina. In order to alleviate the residual stress and to diminish the possibility of leak of He, titanium or stainless steel is used as the secondary heat insulating material 1b. They have thermal expansion coefficients in the middle of those of aluminum and alumina, as well as to have high rigidity. The residual stress can be alleviated by inserting the secondary heat insulating material 1b in the parts where large residual stress is produced.
