    • PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of a coated film without damaging electric characteristics, the surface shape, the head floating capacity, etc. of a magnetic disc by using materials having a high thermal conductivity as a coated film reinforcing material. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic powder 4 and a coated film reinforcing material 2 are mixed and dispersed in a thermosetting resin and are applied onto an aluminium substrate 3. Materials having a thermal conductivity >=0.01cal/cm.sec. deg.C are used as the coated film reinforcing material 2. When a magnetic head 1 collides with a magnetic coated film 5, it is heated by intensive friction to the coated film reinforcing material 2. Since the particle size of the reinforcing material 2 is larger than the thickness of the magnetic coated film 5, the reinforcing material 2 and the magnetic head 1 rub against each other, and generated heat is diffused easily because the thermal conductivity of materials used as the coated film reinforcing material 2 is high, and generated heat is diffused to the aluminium substrate 3 and is not stored in the coated film 5, and thus, thermal decomposition and vaporization of a lubricant and destruction of a binder are difficult, and destruction of the coated film 5 is delayed.

    • PURPOSE:To lower evenly the temperature inside a magnetic disk device and at the same time to reduce greatly the vertical deflection of the magnetic disk, by providing both the internal and external air circulation systems. CONSTITUTION:The cool air supplied from a blower 7 is cleansed by an external filter 8 and sent into a cover 9. This air passes a route 19 and is mixed with the air that flows out of head slots 17a and 17b of an internal shroud 6 as well as an air current produced by the revolution of a magnetic disk 1. This mixture air is sent into an air cleaning filter 12 and flows out toward the outer circumference of the disk 1 through a blow-out port 11 of a spacer 2 after passing through a spindle (internal air circulation system). While another air current flows outside the cover 9 through a discharge port 16 and does not flow into the shroud 6 (external air circulation system). These two systems are actuated at a time to mix the external cool air with the internal warm air and to send this mixture air into the shroud 6. As a result, the temperature is unified within a magnetic disk device. This reduced the vertical deflection degree of the disk 1.
