    • PURPOSE:To prevent freeze on the edge of the eaves with a less amount of electric power consumed by a method wherein a plate-like heating body of a specified width is brought into contact with the lower part on the front of a steel roof plate with the heating surface thereof fixed in parallel with the roof steel plate, and generation of heat from the heating body is controlled by operation of temperature sensors. CONSTITUTION:A plate-like heating body 5 of 3-10cm width is fixed with a fixing body 6 for fixing the plate-like heating body 5 to the surface of a fascia board 4 in parallel with a roof steel plate 2 on a position near the lower part on the front end 3 of the roof steel plate 2. A lead wire 7 for power source for the plate-like heating body and a lead wire 8 for a temperature sensor for automatic control are laid in a space 6a for storing the lead wires and connected to a power source controlling panel. As automatic control is made to be available with contact being kept to the power source, the temperature on the surface of the plate-like heating body 5 falls when snowfall 16 is made on the roof or melted snow 18 flows over the plate-like heating body 5, and heating starts with electric power supplied to the heating body. When snowfall 16 and melted snow 18 are not present, sensors 14 and 15 work to interrupt supply of electric power. When the plate-like heating body 5 is in operation, snowfall 16 is melted by heat of the heating body, heat 24 conducted and radiant heat 25 from the heating body.

CONSTITUTION:A vaporization part 5 is formed at the lower part of a vertical metallic pipe 3a having a lower end being closed and an upper end being opened and a condensation part 6 is formed at a metallic pipe 3b having two ends being closed and tilted. The opening upper part of the metallic pipe 3a at which the vaporization part 5 is arranged is protruded in the inner lower side of the metallic pipe 3b at which the condensation part 6 is arranged and the lower side of the tilting condensation part 3b forms a liquid reservoir 13. A liquid return part 9 through which the liquid reservoir part 13 and the vaporization part 5 are intercommunicated is located in the metallic pipe 3a at which the vaporization part 5 is arranged. The sectional area of the liquid return passage 9 is reduced to a value lower than that of the metallic pipe 3a at which the vaporization part 5 is arranged.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the udnerground installation of a device by integrally arranging each equipment in a snow melting device and arranging a grating for an intake and exhaust port in the upper part. CONSTITUTION:The circulation liquid of a snow melting panel buried in a road is heated through a water heat exchanger 11 by a coolant whose temperature is raised by a heat pump compressor 10, and used for melting the snow on the road surface, and the liberated heat is recovered from the outside air by an air heat exchanger 13, and a heat pump cycle is formed. Then, the outside air taken in from an intake grating 20 is discharged from an exhaust grating 26 in the course of the air streams 30, 31, 32 and 34, and the ventilation in a room is performed. Then, the gratings 20 and 26 and a ceiling plate 23 are heated by the electrical heat or the branched stream of the circulation liquid of the exchanger 11, and the piling of snow and ice freezing are prevented. The intruding molten water is separated by an intake louver 22 and an exhaust louver 24 and discharged outside. Further, the circulation liquid is allowed to branched-flow in the rectangular pipe 60 of the uppermost edge frame, and an atmosphere opened vent pipe is installed as expansion tank. Accordingly, the upper surface of the device can be made same to the ground surface, and the installation under the ground can be executed in simple manner.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure the detection of snowfall regardless of the state of the snowfall by providing a high response type snowfall detecting part, a light transmitting snow shielding plate which is attached at a part immediately before the snowfall detecting part, and planar heaters which are attached on the snow shielding plate. CONSTITUTION:The detecting elements of a snowfall detecting part 1 comprise a light emitting element 3 and a photodetector 4 which are highly-responsive and diffusion-reflection type photoelectric elements. The elements are attached to the front surface of a detecting case in an array pattern. A light transmitting snow shielding plate 6 which can transmit infrared rays is mounted at a part immediately before the photoelectric elements of the detecting part 1 for preventing damages on the surfaces of the photoelectric elements and attachment of snow and the like. Planar heaters 7 having an automatic temperature control function are attached to the rear surface of an acrylic resin plate 6 so that the transmission of the infrared rays is not blocked. In this constitution, the infrared rays which are transmitted through the snow shielding plate 6 from the element 3 are reflected from snow pieces 8. The reflected light is received with the photodetector 4, and the snowfall is detected. The detected signal which is detected in the detecting part 1 is counted in a control part 2, thereby the intensity of the snowfall can be measured based on the number of the total counts.
