    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good vehicle riding comfort by improving the bending rigidity of a body structure while suppressing mass increase of a body structure as much as possible.
      SOLUTION: A strength plate 7 is applied to a vehicle inner side of a roof body structure 1 of the central part in the longitudinal direction of a railway rolling stock body structure 10 composed of the roof body structure 1, a side body structure 2, an underframe 3, and an end body structure 4. The applying range of the strength plate 7 in the longitudinal direction of the railway rolling stock body structure 10 is between two body bolsters 6, and the applying range of the roof body structure 1 in the right and left direction is nearly half of the length in the right and left direction of the roof body structure. Plate thickness of the strength plate 7 becomes thick as the vertical height of the roof body structure 1 becomes high. Since the deformation of the roof body structure 1 of the central part in the longitudinal direction of the railway rolling stock body structure 1 generating a large deformation is suppressed in such structure, the bending rigidity of the railway rolling structure body structure 10 can be efficiently improved. Since bending vibration in vertical direction of the railway rolling stock can be suppressed, excellent ride quality performance can be provided.

Fuel sprays 29a, 29b are injected in two directions of intake valve 7a and 7b sides for a virtual plane passing through the center of a fuel injection port 37 and a cylinder 3, and the spray 29b collides against a swirl stream 30 in the low and medium load operation regions of the engine to accelerate vaporization.
