摘要： PURPOSE: To form an ignition coil into a structure of a good space efficiency by a method wherein when steel plate materials are press laminated, the materials are integrally cured with a synthetic bonding agent, such as an epoxy, and after that, the laminated plate is molded into a cylinder shape by machining. CONSTITUTION: Primary and secondary coil bobbins 4 and 6, which are molded using a thermoplastic synthetic resin, are formed in a coil case 2, which is also molded using a thermoplastic synthetic resin, and primary and secondary coils 5 and 7 are respectively wound on the bobbins 4 and 6. Silicon steel plates are laminated on the inner side of the bobbin 4, the steel plates are cured integrally with each other using an epoxy bonding agent and after that, a core 3a molded into a cylinder shape by machining is inserted in the inner side of the laminated plate. A side-core 3b constituting a magnetic circuit is arranged on the outer side of the coil part and after a thermosetting resin 9 is injected and the core 3b is impregnated with the resin 9, the resin 9 is heated and cured and an ignition coil 1 is constituted. Moreover, a permanent magnet 12 is arranged in a closed magnetic circuit which is constituted of the cores 3a and 3b.

CONSTITUTION:An ignition coil 11 provided for an ignition plug 40, a spring 20 arranged between the top terminal 41 of the ignition plug 40 and the output terminal 12 of the ignition coil 11 so as to electrically connect them together, a boot 30 provided surrounding the spring 20 are provided. The spring 20 is provided with an enlarged diameter part 21 wherein the spring 20 is abruptly increased and then abruptly decreased in winding diameter in its longitudinal direction. The boot 30 is provided with an inner diameter-expanded part 33 wherein it is abrtuptly increased and then abruptly decreased in inner diameter conforming to the side face of the spring 20.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide an ignition device for an internal-combustion engine, which excels in durability such as thermal shock resistance and insulation quality and has high reliability. CONSTITUTION: Air is prevented from entering a coil high-voltage part by disposing a center core 7, a low-voltage side core 18 or a high-voltage side core 9 inside a constituent member such as a primary bobbin 1, a secondary bobbin 3 or a case 5, containing it into a pocket formed in the constituent member or covering it with an elastic member to isolate a core from an epoxy resin 6 for insulation, thereby preventing air from entering the coil high-voltage part. Accordingly, bubbles are not left in the high-voltage part and an internal crack due to a thermal shock and the separation of the epoxy resin 6 for insulation and the constituent member can be prevented, thereby being able to enhance the thermal shock resistance and the insulating durability of a cylindrical ignition device.

摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce the thicknesses of a case and a primary bobbin and thereby reduce the size of the entire body of a component by forming the case and the primary bobbin of an ignition coil using polyphenylene sulfide resin. CONSTITUTION: A primary coil 5 and a secondary coil 7 are wound around bobbins 4 and 6 respectively and then are encased in a case 2. After that, cores 3a and 3b are assembled in the coils 5 and 7 respectively. Then, insulating material 8 is let to fill the case 2 so that the case 2 may have an insulating structure. The case 2 is then installed in a plug hole 12 of each cylinder. Especially, the primary bobbin 4 and the case 2 of an ignition coil 1 are formed of polyphenylene sulfide resin. As for the insulating material 8, thermosetting synthetic resin is used. By this, the primary bobbin 4 and the case 2 can have good electric characteristics including an excellent withstand voltage property and they can also have an excellent formability since they are made of polyphenylene sulfide resin. As a result, the size of the entire body of a component can be reduced without deteriorating electric characteristics because the thicknesses of the primary bobbin 4 and the case 2 can be made small.
