CONSTITUTION:The dustproof cylindrical member 13 is installed on the inner surface on the end face side of a rear bracket 4. This dustproof cylindrical member 13 consists of a cylindrical section 14 and a flange section 15, to be used for mounting, provided at one of the aperture sections, and they are formed in a body by performing a reducing process on a steel plate, for example. On this cylindrical section 14, a longitudinal notched section 16, to be used to insert a brush 11 in the prescribed point, is formed. Als9, an inserting hole 20 to insert a screw for fixing of the brush retainer 7 is provided at the prescribed part on the flange section. Besides, a flange section 8 is protrudedly provided at a point close to the cylindrical section 14 on both side-faces of the brush retainer 7, and a contacting surface opposing to the cylindrical part 14 on the flange section 8 is formed, thereby enabling to obtain an excellent dustproof effect.

Furthermore, the voltage regulator circuit substrate 19, the heat sink 20 in the circuit substrate, and the brush holder 15 are integrally bonded and fixed by adhesives. This method facilitates the electrical connection work for the voltage regulator and the terminal plates of the brush holder and permits the automation of an assembly process.

    • PURPOSE:To permit determination as to whether or not an IC regulator is normal from the terminal voltage of a capacitor without removing the regulator by providing a resistor for impressing a voltage upon the field winding of the regulator. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 19 is closed, current is caused to flow through a resistor 25, a field winding 2 and a transistor 7 if an IC regulator B is normal. At this time, a transistor 28 is off, and a capacitor 23 is charged by the output of a DC-DC converter 20. When the voltage across the capacitor 23 exceeds the regulation voltage of the regulator A, a transistor 7 is cut off. At this time, a zener diode 27 and a transistor 28 are turned on, and the capacitor 23 is discharged through a voltmeter 24. The voltmeter 24 indicates the output voltage of the DC-DC converter 20 when the transistor 7 is shunted and the ratio of voltage division between resistors 21 and 29 when the transistor is opened. Thus, whether the IC regulator is normal or not can be determined without removing the regulator.
