摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector clip which does not require specific attaching and detaching tools, is small in the number of component parts and facilitates the fixing and releasing operation to and from the butt state of one set of the butt-connected optical connectors. SOLUTION: This connector clip 1 freely fixable and releasably holds one set of the optical connectors butt-connected by pin fitting to a butt state. The connector clip has a cover housing 1a which is mounted at an adapter housing 10 mounting one set of the optical connectors freely turnably around a pivot 1d, a pressing part 1b which is disposed at one end of this cover housing and presses the rear part of the one optical connector toward the direction where this optical connector is butted against the other optical connector and an operating piece 1c which is disposed adjacently to this pressing part and fixes and relieases the holding of one set of the optical connectors by turning operating the cover housing.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make a highly accurate form machining by measuring the distribution of optical strength by passing light through a measuring ferrule provided with optical fiber and a wave guide and obtaining a positionally related dimensions between the centers of a guide groove and the wave guide. CONSTITUTION: Multiple wave guide chips 1a are arranged in a wafer optical axis direction (X-axis direction), and a continuous optical wave guide 1d is provided between wafer connecting end faces 1b and 1c exposed in that direction. Also a substrate wafer 1 in which the optical wave guide 1d is formed is fixed to the machining table 3a of a precision grinding machine at a specified position. A measuring ferrule 6 provided with an optical fiber 7 inside it is installed fixedly to a guide groove 2 so that an end 6a roughly coincides with the end face 1c of a wave guide substrate. Then, a ferrule 11 for optical transmission is set against the optical wave guide 1d measured by moving a two-axis fine moving stage 10 so as to receive outgoing beam. While coordinate values are monitored by a power meter 15, the stage 10 is driven, they are read at the most intensive optical transmission strength with a stage scale 13.

SOLUTION: The optical waveguide device is formed by fitting and mounting connection end members 2 and 3, which are engaged by engagement recessed parts 16 while surrounding both the flanks and top surface 10 of a waveguide chip 1, having a core part 6 and a clad part 5 formed on a substrate 4, so that the connection end surfaces 25a and 25b of the waveguide chip 1 are exposed on the connection end surfaces 25a and 25b. On both the sides of the top surface 10 of the waveguide chip 1, V grooves 8a and 8b are formed to the overall length of the waveguide chip 1 and at the engagement recessed parts 16 of the connection end materials 2 and 3, inverted V grooves 14 and 15 are formed at the positions corresponding to the V grooves 8a and 8b. An optical fiber 9 for positioning is arranged to the overall length of the V grooves 8a and 8b and both the end sides of the optical fiber 9 are clamped with the V grooves 8a and 8b and inverted V grooves 14 and 15 to position the waveguide chip 1 and connection end members 2 and 3.

The metal mold has the pin holding member to be housed in the housing part. The mold has also the planar body for fixing the pins for the fiber holes, molding guide pins 19 to be fitted into the grooves 17 for the molding guide pins and positioning pins 20 to be fitted into the grooves for positioning pins.
