      SOLUTION: A pad securing section 23 of a caliper half section 11 includes a pad housing concave section 31 which regulates the locations of three side surfaces except one side surface among four side surfaces of periphery of a brake pad 5, and an anchor block 33 which regulates the location of the brake pad 5 by being detachably fastened to a half body 12 so that an opening section 32 formed by one side surface of the pad housing concave section 31 may be closed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake release sensor support structure that facilitates alignment of a brake release sensor to be performed simply, always secures detection accuracy, and can prevent dragging and seizure of the brake in advance.SOLUTION: In an industrial disk brake in which a brake rotor 11 to be rotated by an axially operated piston member 12 is pressed via a pad 10 to perform brake operation, a brake release sensor support structure supports a limit sensor 2 for detecting a release position of the pad 10 at a static part 1, and in the structure, the limit sensor 2 is supported and fixed to be aligned in an operation direction of the piston member 12 with respect to the static part 2, so that the position of the limit sensor 2 can be adjusted correspondingly to a brake release position, and thus the brake release can be reliably detected always with accuracy including turning on/off and adjustment of a dead band of the sensor to send a signal to an external control device, thus properly performing brake control and enabling prevention of dragging and seizure of the brake.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture at low cost by rocking a pair of pads about pivots provided on the respective inside end parts by pulling a cable in the radially inward direction of a rotor and pressing both side surfaces of the rotor through linings by the pads to exhibit braking force. SOLUTION: In braking, a cable 4 is pulled inward in the radial direction of a rotor 1 by the operation of a brake lever or the like. The space between curved parts 11 formed at the tip edges of back plates 9a, 9b constituting a pair of pads 3a, 3b where the middle part closer to the tip of the cable 4 are suspended is contracted. The pads 3a, 3b are rocked about screws 18, 18 which are pivots provided on the respective inner diameter side ends. Consequently, the linings 10, 10 of the pads 3a, 3b press both the side surface of the rotor 1, and a braking force is exhibited by the frictional forces acting between the surfaces of the linings 10, 10 and both the side surfaces of the rotor 1.
