    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size, weight, or manufacturing cost of an engine while a decompression device is mounted thereon.
      SOLUTION: The decompression device 25 is provided on a cylinder 5 between two cylinders 5, 6 prepared by a two-cylinder engine 1, but the decompression device 25 is not provided on the cylinder 6. A closing angle of the decompression device is set up just before its top dead center, and compression-overcoming torque on the cylinder 5 is almost eliminated when operating the decompression device. Rotation speed of a crankshaft 3 for releasing an operation of the decompression device is set up to be greater than the maximum rotation speed of the crankshaft 3 operated by a starter motor 4, and is set up to be at a range of the minimum rotation speed or less of the crankshaft 3 caused by initial explosion in the cylinder 6.

Preferably, a magnet device 45 is provided on a side of the crank case 31, and the breather chamber is provided above the magnet device 45.
