The workpiece, upon reaching the terminal end of advancing path, is reversed by a reversal device 24 with respect to the left and right to be transferred to the return path. Then, the workpiece is intermittently fed on the return path by the transfer bar 16 while the working surface directed rightward of the workpiece 20 located on the return path is further subjected to predetermined workings by a plurality of working units 58 provided on three working stations 12. Thereafter, the workpiece is delivered to a delivery position B. Thus, the total length of the machine is shortened and a return conveyer is dispensed with so that the machine can be compactly economically constituted.
