    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating and cooling structure of an oil pan which has high heat insulation effect when a temperature of an oil is low and achieves excellent heat radiation cooling characteristics when the temperature of the oil is high.SOLUTION: A heat insulating and cooling structure includes an oil pan and a heat sink located at the outer side of a bottom surface of the oil pan. In a heat sink, the front end side is pivotally attached and the rear end side is controlled so as to move in a vertical direction. When a temperature of an oil stored in the oil pan is low, the rear end side of the heat sink moves down thereby inclining the heat sink and forming a gap between the outer side of the bottom surface of the oil pan and the heat sink. When the temperature of the oil becomes high, the rear end side of the heat sink moves up thereby causing the heat sink to adhere to the outer side of the bottom surface of the oil pan.
