    • PURPOSE:To obtain a regenerator in which a large amount of Pct can be burned at once in a various sorts of operation states by introducing a portion of exhaust gas and the air in a proper mixing ratio from the downstream side of a DPF through a muffler in the utilization of an intake throttle. CONSTITUTION:When Pct is deposited onto a DPF 2 and the filtration resistance increases, regeneration of DPF 2 is required. A portion of exhaust gas and the air are introduced from the downstream of the DPF 2 through a muffler 11 from an intake throttle 10, and DPF 2 is regenerated by the combustion by a burner. The mixing ratio between the exhaust gas and the air is controlled by adjusting the throttle angle of a control valve 6 behind the muffler 11 according to the operation condition of the engine, and each variation of the O2 concentration and the gas temperature during regeneration is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an exhaust gas purification device capable of being surely ignited by controlling air which affects the ignition of a burner regardless of engine operating conditions, and disposing a control valve in a passage between the burner and a blower. CONSTITUTION:When a reactivation signal for a filter F is outputted, a burner 3 is ignited. An air blower AP changes its rate of blown air from time to time in response to the existing engine speed. When the rate of blown air is increased, the air flow pressure moves the air control valve 1 in the direction of its closure so that the primary air 5 may be reduced and the secondary air 4 increased.
