    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular shield machine which is equipped with an oscillating cutter, and can enhance the effect of agitating excavated soil taken into a chamber.
      SOLUTION: The two oscillating cutters 3 and 3 which constitute the shield machine 1 with a rectangular cross section are constituted in such a manner as to be synchronously oscillated in opposite directions. Each of the oscillating cutters 3 and 3 comprise an upper part which is positioned above the center shaft of oscillation, and a lower part which is positioned below it. Long plate-like agitating members 7 and 7 are attached to side surfaces, facing the chamber 5, of the upper and lower parts, respectively. The agitating member 7 is attached in a state of protruding from the side surface in an attitude in which its longitudinal direction is arranged in the direction of the elongation of the upper or lower part. The agitating member 7 can be not only fixed but also rotatably attached to a cutter spoke of the oscillating cutter.

The interposition pipe-jacking machine 1 is further composed of a rectangular or square-shaped outercoat 6 mounted on the outer periphery of the external cylinder 2. In the interposition pipe-jacking machine 1, a sealant 7 is arranged in an opening between the external cylinder 2 and the internal cylinder 3, a groove 61 extended in the tunnel extending-direction is formed to the outer peripheral surface of the outercoat 6 and the external shapes of the external cylinder 2 and the internal cylinder 3 are molded in similar figures respectively in a rectangle, in which a circular or corner section is curvature-molded, or a square, in which the corner section is curvature-molded.
