And the control valve 9 is opened only for a specific period immediately after the starting of the compression stroke, a high temperature exhaust gas is fed from the surge tank 4 into the cylinder 8, the pressure in the cylinder is increased so as to increase the pressure in the cylinder at the termination of the compression stroke, and the starting property is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent engine strike and hunting and to improve stability by thinning out fuel injection for each cylinder for every set cycle at the time of a high rotation high load driving state of an engine within set time after starting or within set temperature at the time when a cold state of the engine is discriminated at the time of starting the engine. CONSTITUTION:In a control device 51, to an input port of an I/O interface 56, various kinds of sensors 22, 41-43, 45, 46, 48, 50 and others to respectively detect driving states of an engine are connected. In the meantime, to an output port, an injector 23, a PTC heater 33d is oppositely provided in the fuel injection direction of the injector 23 and others are connected. In this case, the control device 51 discriminates whether the engine is in a cold state or not at the time of starting the engine. Additionally, at the time when it is in the cold state, the control device 51 measures elapsed time after starting or computes a temperature rising amount. Furthermore, within set time after starting or within set temperature, whether the engine is in a high rotation high load driving state or not is discriminated. Additionally, at the time when the engine is in the high rotation high load driving state, fuel injection is thinned out for each cylinder for every set cycle.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent droplet of fuel without lowering the life of a battery by carrying out heating control and cranking control against a fuel heating means in accordance with alcohol density in fuel and engine temperature. CONSTITUTION:A means to judge whether it is possible to start or not in accordance with alcohol density in fuel and engine temperature and a process to carry out cranking after heating and warming a fuel heating means 23d provided in the fuel injection direction of an injector 24 in the case when it is judged impossible to start are furnished. Additionally, a process to carry out cranking simultaneously when the fuel heating means 23d is heated in the case when it is judged possible to start and engine temperature is lower than fuel vaporizable temperature and a process to carry out cranking of the fuel heating means 23d in the non-heating state in the case when engine temperature is higher than the fuel vaporizable temperature are furnished. Consequently, it is possible to reduce burden of a battery at the time of starting and to acquire favourable starting performanceby way of preventing droplet of fuel.
