    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of improving accuracy of air fuel ratio control. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 1 includes an engine burning air fuel mixture and generating power, and a supercharger 3 including a compressor 32 arranged in an intake passage of the engine and a turbine 31 arranged in an exhaust passage of the engine, rotating the turbine 31 by exhaust gas passing the exhaust passage 6 and driving the compressor 32 to supercharge the engine. Also, the internal combustion engine 1 includes a bypass passage 62 provided in the exhaust passage 6 and bypassing the turbine 31, a wastegate valve 63 arranged at an outlet part of the bypass passage 62 and opening and closing the bypass passage 62, an air fuel ratio sensor 7 arranged in a downstream side of the wastegate valve 63 in the exhaust passage 6, and a guide means 8 leading exhaust gas passing through the bypass passage 62 to the air fuel ratio sensor 7 at the time of opening of the wastegate valve 63.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive exhaust system, and an engine and a vehicle equipped with it, capable of improving the purification efficiency of a catalyst. SOLUTION: An exhaust system 12 comprises a first oxygen sensor S1 installed in an exhaust pipe connected to a cylinder (standard cylinder), in which a fuel injection amount is the most average value, out of a plurality of cylinders. A controller calculates the air-fuel ratio of the standard cylinder from the detection value of the first oxygen sensor S1. From the difference between the calculated air-fuel ratio and a predetermined target air-fuel ratio of the standard cylinder, the correction amount of the fuel injection amount of the standard cylinder is determined so that the air-fuel ratio of the standard cylinder is equal to the target air-fuel ratio.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an exhaust emission control device compact by housing a plurality of catalyst carriers in a single case, and attaching sensors for detecting an exhaust gas temperature and the like, to an inlet part of the downstream side catalyst.
      SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device 6 comprises: first and second catalyst carriers 21, 22 interposed in an exhaust passage 8 of an engine 1 to purify exhaust gas; a case 20 provided in the exhaust passage and housing the first and second catalyst carriers 21, 22 in series in an exhaust gas flow direction; a ring-like carrier holder 24 interposed between the first and second catalyst carriers 21, 22 to hold the first and second catalyst carriers 21, 22 through a buffer member 23 and having a first opening 34 for communication between the inner peripheral side and the outer peripheral side; a sensor 10 for detecting the state of exhaust gas flowing in the case 20; and a first sensor mounting part 26 provided in the case 20 to allow the inside and outside of the case 20 to communicate in an approximately orthogonal direction to the exhaust gas flow direction. The first sensor mounting part 26 is provided in a position corresponding to the first opening 34 in the state of the carrier holder 24 being housed in the case.
