The number of turns of the winding 1 is smaller than that of the winding 5, and the total number of turns of windings 1 and 2 is larger than that of the winding 5 respectively. The record signal delivered from the amplifier 7 is transmitted to the head 6 and recorded with high efficiency owing to the ratio of number of turns between windings 1 and 5. In a reproducing mode, the reproduced signal obtained from the head 6 is supplied to the amplifier 8 with high efficiency owing to the ratio of number of turns between the winding 5 and the windings 1 and 2.
