    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect an inflammable gas concentration without being affected by miscellaneous gas existing in a measuring atmosphere, and to provide high detection precision. SOLUTION: This gas detector is a detector for detecting an inflammable gas concentration generated in a measured chamber A, a residual oxygen concentration inside the measured chamber A is measured by the first oxygen sensor part 2 of a limiting current type having a pair of electrodes 22, 23 in both faces of a zirconia substrate 21 of an oxide ion conductive solid electrolyte, after the inflammable gas generated reacts with oxygen in atmospheric gas, and an oxygen concentration in an outside space D where the atmospheric gas introduced into the chamber A exists is measured, on the other hand, by the second oxygen sensor part 3 of a limiting current type having a pair of electrodes 32, 33 in both faces of a zirconia substrate 31. Since gas components.concentrations excepting the inflammable gas are the same in the gas in the chamber A and the gas in the space D, influences caused by the miscellaneous gas components such as a steam containned in the atmospheric gas are corrected based on a detection result by the second oxygen sensor part 3 so as to accurately detect the inflammable gas concentration.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the concentration of a flammable gas without being affected by the influence of moisture or the like with a simple configuration by using an oxygen sensor with a solid electrolyte material, for example, of a limiting current type. SOLUTION: A first oxygen sensor 3A is provided at the downstream side of a generation source 2 of a channel 1 where air is circulated through the generation source 2 of a flammable gas for detecting oxygen concentration being shifted by the amount of oxygen consumption due to the flammable gas of circulation air containing the flammable gas, a second oxygen sensor 3B is provided at the upstream side of the generation source 2 for detecting the oxygen concentration of the circulation air without containing the flammable gas, and a gas concentration output means 4 outputs the difference in the detection signal of both the oxygen sensors 3A and 3B as the concentration of the flammable gas of air through the generation source 2, thus canceling the amount of change in the detection signal of the oxygen sensors 3A and 3B due to the fluctuation of moisture or the like and hence preventing the concentration of the flammable gas to be detected from being affected by moisture or the like.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the arrival of a battery storage amount at a lower limit in a hybrid vehicle.
      SOLUTION: An error of a current measuring system having a current sensor 15 is previously evaluated, and set to a battery ECU 14. The battery ECU 14 offsets an integrated current in the case of estimating a battery charge storage amount by integrating the current measured by the sensor 15 to a discharge side by an error amount of the measuring system. Since the battery ECU 14 controls to charge or discharge so as to hold the estimated charge storage amount constant, in the case of offsetting to the discharge side, a control is operated to supplement it, and hence charging becomes superior to the case of conducting no offset. Thus, the arrival of the real battery charge storage amount at a lower limit of the battery charge storage amount is suppressed.
