    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate advice information about how to use a vehicle within the range with which a user can cope.SOLUTION: A diagnostic device for diagnosing how to use a vehicle provided with an electric power storage device has a memory and a controller. The electric power storage device enables charging and discharging, and outputs traveling energy of the vehicle by discharging. The memory stores history data about a use state of the electric power storage device. The controller generates advice information about how to use the vehicle on the basis of the history data stored in the memory. The controller, here, generates first advice information presenting the improvement of how to use, or second advice information presenting the continuation of how to use in accordance with comparison results between history data acquired within a first period and history data acquired within a second period before the first period.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the electrophorectic display element which can decrease the generation of the discoloration, etc., of a dispersion by the flocculating and settling of electrophorectic particles and by UV rays, heat, etc., in plural block chambers and can maintain the appearance over the entire part. CONSTITUTION:This electrophorectic display element consists of a pair of substrates 1a, 1b, which are disposed to face each other and at least one of which are transparent, electrodes 2a, 2b which are respectively formed on the opposite surfaces 10a, 10b of a pair of the substrates 1a, 1b and at least either of which are transparent, and a light transparent dispersion medium 5 sealed into the sealing space S between a pair of the substrates 1a, 1b and the light shieldable electrophorectic particles 6 dispersed into the dispersion medium 5. The striped or meshed block members 3a, 3b for segmenting the sealing space S to the plural block chambers S1 are interposed in the sealing space S and at least the two adjacent block chambers S1 have a connecting passage 30 which is formed approximately in the middle between a pair of the substrates 1a and 1b and in which the dispersion medium 5 can move.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a partial operation defect by absorbing an additive to a liquid crystal to the oriented films formed on substrates then positioning the surfaces of the substrates to face each other, sealing the liquid crystal therebetween and dissolving the additive into the liquid crystal thereby distributing the additive over the entire part of the liquid crystal operation part.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 2 are formed on the respective surfaces of a pair of the substrates 11, 12 then the oriented films 3 are disposed thereon. Part of the additive 41 to the liquid crystal is adsorbed to the surface of at least one of the films 3 and thereafter the surfaces of a pair of the substrates 11 and 12 are positioned to face each other. The liquid crystal 50 is sealed therebetween and the additive 41 is dissolved into the liquid crystal 50. The additive 41 can be uniformly distributed into the crystal 50 when the liquid crystal element is assembled in the above-mentioned manner. The generation of the partial operation defect of the liquid crystal element is thus prevented and the element having the good accuracy is obtd. even if the element has a large area.
