    • PURPOSE:To enable a control of selective fine processing by irradiating the surface layer of a magnetic recording medium with UV ray and ozone to decompose and remove the binder resin only. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the magnetic layer 1 is irradiated with UV ray and ozone to result in projected fillers at the height of t2. In this process, atomic oxygen (O) plays an important role to decompose and remove the binder resin. By supplying O2 or O3 from outside, the production efficiency of atomic oxygen (O) is promoted. Chains of C-C bonds or C-H bonds which constitute the binder resin are decoupled by the UV ray, and the atomic oxygen above mentioned reacts with the decoupled part to give CO2 or H2O. Thus the binder resin is decomposed and removed. Inorganic compounds such as filler 3 and magnetic powder 2 are not decomposed or removed in this process. The projection height t2 of the filler can be obtained by washing out the magnetic powder remaining in the surface layer.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of surface forming without leaving a rolled mark, by applying pressurization press and forming a base plate having a magnetic coating material with a force larger than the elastic limit of the magnetic coating material, by using a pair of dies with a prescribed surface form. CONSTITUTION:An upper die 1 and a lower die 9 are possible to be brought into contact with the magnetic coating material through a diaphragm 5, and in the inside of the diaphragm, columnar electrostriction materials 6 are arranged two-dimensionally keeping a constant interval, and displacement, or a force is generated by impressing a voltage on respective material independently by a cable. By setting the voltage applied on respective electrostriction material at an appropriate level, it is possible to change the form of a diaphragm surface to an arbitrary curved surface, and to apply a uniform force simultaneously on the magnetic coating material over the entire lane of a magnetic disk, by the upper die, and the die. By starting contact from the center of a disk first, and expanding a part to be brought into contact to an outer periphery gradually, in a concentric circle shape, by controlling an impressed voltage, the sealing of a bubble can be prevented from occurring, and a good magnetic surface plane can be obtained. In this way, high recording density with good flatness and high slidability-resistant characteristic can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a clean surface without a secondary contamination by coating simultaneously a curing type adhesive substance to both the surface of a substance, to be cleaned and the base constituting the same plane as the surface and peeling off the adhesive substance after the curing from the top of the base. CONSTITUTION:When the surface of a magnetic disk 2 is cleaned, the magnetic disk 2 is fitted into the upper surface side of a base 3 and an adhesive substance 1 is coated by a coating means. The adhesive substance 1 is simultaneously coated even on a clamping base 4 provided on the base 3. After a prescribed time, when the adhesive substance 1 is cured, a piston 6 is operated, while sandwiching it by the clamping base 4 and a clamp 5, the cured adhesive substance 1 is peeled off from the base 3 and in such a condition, the substance is peeled off from the whole surface of the magnetic disk 2 by a shifting means 7. Thus, the dust existing at a magnetic disk surface can be stuck to the curing type resin, which is the adhesive substance, and removed, and the resin can be peeled off without adding the extra force to the magnetic disk surface.
