    • PURPOSE:To make an excellent valve system control possible at the whole of a rotation sphere, by providing a main tappets slide-contacting valve system cams, and sub tappets connected with these main tappets through oil chambers, and valves whose valve shafts are connected with sub tappets, and providing solenoid valves which charge/discharge oil into/out of oil chambers. CONSTITUTION:Main tappets 9(9a,9b)which contact strikingly cams 1a,1b fitted at the same shaft S at the same phase, are provided, and respective main tappets 9 are respectively energized in a cam direction by means of springs 10a, 10b. Also, main tappets 9 are connected with sub tappets 12(12a,12b) through oil chambers(11a,11b), and respective sub tappets 12 are connected with the valve shafts 51(51a,51b) of air suction valves 5a, 5b, and at the same time, are energized in a valve shaft direction by means of springs 13a, 13b. And solenoid valves A, B which charge/discharge oil in regard to oil chambers 11 connecting main and sub tappets 9, 12, are provided, and a continual optimum valve system control is made possible by opening/closing respective solenoid valves in accordance with the state of operation.

    • PURPOSE:To charge very diversely the rotation of the rotor of a supercharger according to the operation condition of an engine, by coupling a changeover means which is for an oil passage under pressure delivery for oil for drive, to a computer which issue a command according to an operation condition such as an engine revolution number or a load. CONSTITUTION:A changeover vale 3 is operatably coupled to a computer 10 issuing a command according to the rotation number of an engine or a load. Pressure oil at an oil passage 2 under pressure delivery is delivered to a low speed gear motor 8 through a low speed oil passage 4 by conducting the changeover of the changeover valve 3 by means of the control of the computer 10, and the rotor 7 of a supercharger is driven at a low speed. Also, delivery to a high speed gear motor 9 is made through a high speed oil passage 5, and the rotor 7 of the supercharger is driven at a high speed, or return to an oil tank is made through a bypass passage 6.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of filling intake air by providing a synchronous transmitting device for transmitting the rotation of an engine to a supercharger so that the supercharging pressure of a supercharger is pulsated in synchronization with the opening and closing timing of an intake valve. CONSTITUTION:A Roots supercharger 14 interposed in an intake path 12 of a Diesel engine supplies pressurized intake air to a combustion chamber and is driven through a synchronous transmitting device comprising a belt 22 by the rotation of a crankshaft of an engine body 10. Then, in the practice of a 6-cylinder 2-cycle engine having about 180 deg. crank angle in opening period of intake valve of each cylinder for example, the pulley ratio of respective pulleys 16, 18 is set such that the pulsation cycle of supercharging pressure is 240 deg. crank angle. Also, the rotational angles of respective pulleys 16, 18 are set such that each peak of supercharging pressure pulsation coincides approximately with the timing of changing over the intake valve of a predetermined cylinder from opening to closing.
