    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacturing of a pipe having arbitrary shape by a method wherein a bag, in which a core is placed, is prepared so as to cover the outside the bag by resin-impregnated fiber stock and, after that, the whole assembly is transferred in a female die for forming under the state being brought into close contact with the female die internally by applying internal pressure inside the bag and finally the core is removed from the female die. CONSTITUTION:A core 1, the dimensions of which are smaller than the inner diameter of a final molding, is put in a bag 2 made of film-like stock and a fluid inflowing tube 2 is inserted from the mouth of the bag. Next, resin-impregnated fiber stock 3 is wound round the outside of the bag 2, in which the core is placed for hardening and forming. The whole assembly is transferred in a female die 4 and, after that, the female mold is clamped. Next hardening is performed under the the state that the bag 2 is inflated by applying fluid pressure through the fluid inflowing tube 5 so as to bring the resin-impregnated fiber stock 3 into close contact with the inside of the female die 4. After that, the fluid pressure is released and the film is cut open in order to take the core out of the bag. Thus a pipe having arbitrary shape is easily obtained. And the wall thickness of the pipe is controlled so as to have the desired one. A product having high dimensional accuracy can be manufactured at low cost.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength of a fiber formed body and improve the productivity of a composite material spiral bar by a method wherein unraveled long fiber group is turned into a long fiber formed body by being passed through a pre-collecting die having a collecting bore, the ratio of which to the root diameter of a spiral fiber formed body after the peripheral winding thread is wound peripherally is specified. SOLUTION: In an unraveling device 1, a large number of long fibers 6 impregnated with a thermosetting resin are unraveled and turned into a bundle so as to pre-collect a long fiber 6 group at the collecting hole of a collecting orifice 6a in a pre-collecting die 2 in order to form a long fiber formed body 6a. Next, at a peripherally winding device 3, a peripheral winding thread 7 made of long fibers impregnated with the thermosetting resin is wound about the outer periphery of the long fiber formed body 6, resulting in obtaining a spiral fiber formed body 8 consisting of the long fiber formed body 6a and the peripheral winding thread 7. The spiral fiber formed body 8 is passed through the center through hole of a rotary platen 10 provided in the peripherally winding device 3 to a heating device 4. In addition, the collecting bore (a) of the pre-collecting die 2 is set to be 1.1-2.0 times as much as the rool diameter of the spiral fiber formed body 8, which has been collected by peripherally winding the peripheral winding thread 7.
