    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block the fire and heat, and to improve the fireresisting performance with a simple structure with the low manufacturing cost, by providing the sections of the door covers with the almost projecting and recessed parts in such manner that they can be fitted with each other with a small gap, and the projecting and recessed parts are closely kept into contact with each other when the fire occurs at the landing side. SOLUTION: When the fire occurs at a landing 2 side, a temperature of a door stop part at a hoistway side, rises, and a door stop rubber 3D is melted and lost, the doors 3A, 3B are further closed by a thickness G2 by the closing force of a door closer. The door covers 6C and 6D are also closed to each other to reduce a gap corresponding to this motion, whereby the faces 6E, 6F of the door covers 6C, 6D are fitted with each other to be closely kept into contact with each other with the motion same as the gap G1. Whereby a hoistway side can be prevented from directly exposed to the fire at the landing 2 side, a rise in temperature at the hoistway side can be inhibited, and the eruption of fire to the hoistway side can be prevented. The heat-resisting performance can be improved with the low manufacturing cost, without adding the new components and without increasing the weight so much.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator having a means for individually grasping the deterioration state of synthetic fiber ropes for supporting load by parallel arrangement of the plural ropes, and determining the discarding time of each synthetic fiber rope. SOLUTION: In this elevator, a car 2 and a counterweight 3 are connected to each other by synthetic fiber ropes 1 of plural parallel arrangement, and the synthetic fiber ropes 1 are wrapped round sheaves 4 to be frictional-driven. This elevator is provided with a means for detecting the position of the car 2 in a hoistway, a means for detecting the position of the counterweight 3 in the hoistway, a means for individually calculating an increase in the elongation amount compared with the no-deteriorated state of each synthetic fiber rope 1, a means for individually recording the allowable limit of increase in the elongation amount of each synthetic fiber rope 1, and a means for individually judging whether the increase in the elongation amount of each synthetic fiber rope 1 is within the allowable limit or not. Thus, the replacement and discard time of the ropes can be individually determined so as to heighten the safety and reliability of mechanical system of the elevator. The progress of deterioration is automatically recorded and notified so as to achieve labor-saving of maintenance.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a spacer for adjusting height of a car floor and easily execute the adjusting work by providing an adjusting device for height of the car floor using screw members on the floor face of the car. SOLUTION: The floor part construction of a car of an elevator is provided with a floor finish material 1 supported with the car floor frame 2 of a car frame 3, but for adjusting the floor height, a height adjusting part 6 constituted of a height adjusting part bolt 7 and a height adjusting part nut 8 is provided. Namely the height adjusting part 6 is fitted to the car floor frame 2 and a vibration isolating rubber 4, and when the height of the car floor face is adjusted, the height adjusting nut 8 is unfastened and the position of the height adjusting part bolt 7 is moved up and down. When the car floor face becomes to be desired height, the height adjusting part nut 8 is fastened to fix the height adjusting part bolt 7. By adjusting the height of the height adjusting part bolt 7 in this way, the height position of the upper face of the floor finish material 1 can be easily adjusted, and regulating workability can be improved.
