摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of noise by connecting a motor and a sheave, and arranging a speed reducer for decelerating the motor side between the motor and a brake. SOLUTION: The sheave 2 and the motor 1 are directly connected. The speed reducer 3 is arranged between a brake 4 and the motor 1. With this constitution, since the sheave 2 and the motor 1 are directly connected, an excess mechanical part can be removed to restrain that generation of vibration noise by mechanical contact. The speed reducer 3 is arranged between the motor 1 and the brake 4, and since torque transmitting time of the brake 4 is stopping time, vibration noise is not generated. When a gear of the speed reducer 3 rotates, a disc freely rotates since the brake 4 is not applied, so that force is not transmitted via the gear of the speed reducer 3 is principle, and braking noise is not generated. Thus, vibration noise is not generated by the speed reducer 3, required torque of the brake 4 can be reduced, and a brake device can be miniaturized.

An inspection port 2a for inspecting the smoke sensors 20, 21 and an inverter device 33 is provided on the ceiling of the car 2. When the smoke sensors 20, 21 are operated while the elevator is traveling, the power feed to the elevator apparatus is interrupted after the car 2 is stopped in the closest floor.

Owing to this constitution, these four cars 1a to 1d can be operated by a long lifting stroke exceeding the load limits of these subloops 2a to 2h, and also the gripping and opening of these holding claws are simply controllable by driving each actuator in a selective manner.
