    • PURPOSE:To simplify the two-dimensional detection processing of the angles of a body to be detected by moving an image of the body formed on photoelectric converters which are arrayed in two dimensions by a scanner, and processing detection signals of photoelectric converters. CONSTITUTION:The image of the body 2 to be detected which is lighted by a lighting device 1 is formed on the photoelectric converters 4a-4i through an image forming lens 3 and a galvanometer 6. The image moves on the photoelectric converters 4a-4i by driving the galvanometer 6 by a scanning signal from a controller 5, and detection signals P1-P9 of the photoelectric converters are summed up, column by column and row by row, by adding circuits 7a-7f, and the sums of and differences between adjacent columns and the sums of and differences between adjacent rows are calculated by arithmetic circuits 8a-8d; and the differences R1 and R2 between the arithmetic results of the columns and rows are outputted from arithmetic circuits 9a and 9b. The values R1 and R2 within a set range are sent to a sampling circuit through a comparing circuit and a gate circuit to read the scanning signal, thereby outputting a position signal.

    • PURPOSE:To inspect an end position of bodies to be detected through a simplified processing system by moving an image of the bodies to be detected which are arrayed linearly by a scanner, and processing detection signals of plural photoelectric converters. CONSTITUTION:The image of a body 2 to be detected which is lighted by a lighting device 1 is formed on the photoelectric converters 4a-4c through an image forming lens 3 and a galvanometer 6. This image scans on the photoelectric converters 4a-4c by driving the galvanometer 6 by a scanning signal from a controller 5. Detection signals P1-P3 of the photoelectric converters 4a-4c are converted by arithmetic circuits 7a and 7b into P1-P2 and P2-P3, and an arithmetic circuit 8 outputs (P1-P2)-(P2-P3). Then when a comparator 10 decides on whether the output value is larger than a set value Ea or smaller than a set value F, the scanning signal is outputted from a gate 9. The scanning signal is read by a sampling circuit 12 after being passed through an AND circuit 11 to output a position signal.

A bearing 9 is fixed in the bracket 7b to bear the free end of said fixed shaft 8. A traveling unit 10 has a movable unit bearing and slides on the fixed shaft 8 in the axial direction under guidance of this shaft 8. During continuous use, the fixed shaft 8 elongates toward the free end owing to thermal conduction from the motor mounted on the unit 10 are frictional heat at the sliding surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A position detecting device is constituted by the following parts: a lighting device 13, which lights a body to be detected 14; an image forming device 15, which forms the image of the body to be detected; a detecting device comprising photoelectric transducers 16a-16d, which detect the brightness of the image and are divided into 4 parts and arranged on an image forming plane; a scanning device, which moves the relative position of the image and the photoelectric transducers 16a-16d in the image forming plane in a two dimensional mode; and a determining means, which determines the two dimensional position of the body to be detected 14 based on the detected signal (a) from the detecting device and the scanning signal (b) from the scanning device. As a result, the two dimensional position detection can be performed without impairing the simplification of the position detecting processing of the body to be detected.
