摘要： A method and apparatus for streaming media without installing a plug-in in a web browser are provided. When a JavaScript decoder is used to stream media without installing a plug-in, it is difficult to support decoding of high framerate and high resolution video due to the limitations of JavaScript. When streaming media using a video element of HTML5 without installing a plug-in, a compatibility issue with a conventional video capturing apparatus using RTSP/RTP and an initial delay problem due to a container of MPEG-DASH are inherent. The present disclosure presents an adaptive media streaming method and apparatus capable of performing streaming of high framerate and high resolution video without an initial delay and compatibility issues by addressing these drawbacks.

摘要： Technologies are disclosed to transfer responsibility and control over security from player makers to content authors by enabling integration of security logic and content. An exemplary optical disc carries an encrypted digital video title combined with data processing operations that implement the title's security policies and decryption processes. Player devices include a processing environment (e.g. a real-time virtual machine), which plays content by interpreting its processing operations. Players also provide procedure calls to enable content code to load data from media, perform network communications, determine playback environment configurations, access secure nonvolatile storage, submit data to CODECs for output, and/or perform cryptographic operations. Content can insert forensic watermarks in decoded output for tracing pirate copies. If pirates compromise a player or title, future content can be mastered with security features that, for example, block the attack, revoke pirated media, or use native code to correct player vulnerabilities.

摘要： A request for retrieving a manifest file comprising a list of encrypted audio/video chunks and associated key paths for retrieving decryption keys for decrypting the encrypted audio/video chunks is transmitted. A manifest file is received and the associated key paths are transmitted to a secure control access process. The secure access process retrieves decryption keys corresponding to the associated key paths from a server and transmits the decryption keys to a hardware decryption function that stores the decryption keys and that returns handles to the stored decryption keys. The key paths in the manifest file are replaced by the handles. Finally, the manifest file is transferred to the hardware decryption function, which decrypts the encrypted audio/video chunks based on the handles in the manifest file and the stored decryption keys.

摘要： Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods establishing and maintaining trust between security devices for distributing media content are provided. Two security devices bind to establish an initial trust so that security information can be exchanged. Subsequently, trust is refreshed to verify the source of a message is valid. In an embodiment, the security devices may comprise a security processor and a system on a chip (SoC) in a downloadable conditional access system. Trust may be refreshed by a security device inserting authentication information in a message to another security device, where authentication information may assume different forms, including a digital signature (asymmetric key) or a hash message authentication code (HMAC). Trust may also be refreshed by extracting header information from the message, determining state information from at least one parameter contained in the header information, and acting on message content only when the state information is valid.

摘要： A conflict may occur in a TV 400 or set-top box if it is already running an application, for example to purchase a film, when an associated CICAM (Common Interface Conditional Access Module) attempts to run a second application that requires use of the TV screen to display a message to a user.
