摘要： Systems and methods are described for aggregating information obtained from messages between playback devices and content protection systems, including but not limited to conditional access systems, downloadable conditional access systems, and digital rights management systems, that include a unique identifier and applying user modifiable rules to the aggregated information to identify abnormal behavior associated with the unique identifier including but not limited to one or more clone playback devices utilizing the unique identifier or a rogue playback device utilizing a unique identifier. One embodiment includes a plurality of playback devices connected to a headend via a network, where the headend includes at least one content protection system, and a clone monitor configured to register playback devices based upon a unique identification supplied by each playback device, when communicating with the at least one content protection system. In addition, the clone monitor is configured to aggregate information associated with each playback device over time, where the information is obtained from messages that are transmitted between the playback device and the headend and that include a unique identifier, and the clone monitor is configured to apply rules to the aggregated information to identify at least one pattern of abnormal behavior in the aggregated information associated with a specific unique identifier.

摘要： The invention discloses a near field communication system in a local network configured to extend a NFC communication between a NFC device and a NFC mobile device beyond the range defined by the NFC standards. The system comprises at least two repeater devices, each comprising a first communication interface configured to exchange information within a local communication network and a second communication interface locally connected to the first communication interface. The second communication interface comprises a NFC transceiver configured to exchange digital data intended to be transferred to the local communication network via the first communication interface. A first repeater device is associated to a stand alone device comprising a NFC communication interface coupled with the NFC transceiver of the first repeater device. The system further comprises a mobile NFC device having a NFC communication interface configured to exchange digital data with a second repeater device configured to forward to the local communication network the digital data received from the mobile device via the NFC communication interface. The digital data are transmitted to the stand alone device via the first repeater device being at a distance from the second repeater device exceeding a range of NFC communication.

摘要： The present invention relates to a physical device, the possession of which may provide access to digital media content in a fashion similar to possession of a DVD providing access to the media content stored thereupon on a suitable DVD player. According to the invention, possession of the physical device gives access to digital content stored on a remote server using a suitable device such as a set-top box or media player having internet connection capability. The invention provides for convenient and possibly anonymous access to content stored on a remote server and has certain advantages over the known techniques of storing the rights to access the content locally to the player used to view the content.
