摘要： A method and device is provided for of determining broadcast content availability. In one embodiment. The method comprises receiving a user selection for broadcast display of a program. The broadcast content includes a plurality of associated criteria. The user selection criteria is then analyzed to determine its characteristics. The method also includes continuously monitoring broadcast program dataflow to detect changes to the selected user program and updating information affecting broadcast of the selected user program upon detecting any changes.

The method includes: acquiring multiple EPG versions which simultaneously exist; acquiring one or more corresponding view types according to the multiple EPG versions, wherein a group of EPG versions to be processed in a same manner are set to collectively correspond to one view type; and processing request messages of the multiple EPG versions according to the one or more view types. By means of the solution, the problem in the relevant art that services cannot be processed normally due to the service upgrade in batches of the IPTV is solved, thereby providing a technical basis for achieving the service upgrade of an IPTV system in batches, so that the losses of benefits and operation of an operator caused by the upgrade can be decreased and reduced to the maximum extent, and a favorable service experiences are ensured for users.

摘要： A system and a method is designed to broadcast and to display visual cut-ins (SwitchBanners (SB)) on TV screen at the moment of switching between DVB channels, at the moment of switching on/off DVB receiver and/or at the moment of entering/leaving the main DVB receiver control menu. The SB could be any static, dynamic, audio and/or video object(-s), represented by files of a set format containing specific information and metadata which provides capacity of SB display ordering. The invention is designed with a possibility to provide DVB Users (subscribers) with targeted SB, grouping the SB to any possible categories (personalized SB); therefore, the Users may receive the personalized SB depending on the target group they belong. The invention is represented by a complex of software applications and a method of their interaction. The invention is divided into two basic parts: the sending end and the receiving end. The sending end is represented by the hardware and specific software designed for the forming, arranging and broadcasting of the SB to the receiving end by means of the DVB transport stream. The receiving end is represented by the middleware installed in DVB receivers allowing to receive SB from the DVB transport stream and to display them on User's TV screen at certain moments (e.g. when Users switch from one DVB channel to another, switch on/off the main control menu of the DVB receiver, or switch the DVB receiver on/off).

摘要： The present technology relates to a transmitting device, a transmitting method, a receiving device, a receiving method, a program, and a broadcasting system that can realize service of data broadcasting content capable of being in conjunction with show, CM, etc. A controller supplies metadata in which trigger information relating to control of an application program to be executed in conjunction with content in a receiving device is stored, and size information for burying the metadata in a user data area of an encoded audio stream. An audio encoder generates the encoded audio stream in which the metadata storing the trigger information is buried in the user data area based on the size information. A transmitter transmits the generated encoded audio stream to the receiving device. The present disclosure can be applied to the case of realizing data broadcasting in the United States and so forth for example.
