摘要： A conflict may occur in a TV 400 or set-top box if it is already running an application, for example to purchase a film, when an associated CICAM (Common Interface Conditional Access Module) attempts to run a second application that requires use of the TV screen to display a message to a user. The second application may be for the scheduled unattended recording of a different item. Typically the TV will allow the CICAM (30, figure 2) to run its application and so the application to purchase a film will be lost. To avoid this problem the TV seeks another device with a screen, such as a tablet computer 500 linked to the TV by a local network, and directs the CICAM application to that device.

A license encryption key and a content decryption key are separately and securely transmitted to the receiver. 摘要： The present invention provides a data reading method, and a video transmitter and a video receiver using the same in which there is no video interruption time or a video interruption time is short during rewriting of EDID. In a video transmitter which transmits a digital video signal obtained by performing a contents protection process to a video receiver through digital interfaces, after the video transmitter reads information related to the characteristics of the video receiver and performs a default setting of a video signal format on the basis of the information by a default setting process to be executed when power is started to be supplied from the video transmitter to the video receiver, the video transmitter performs a CP process and transmits a digital video signal. It can receive one or more Transport Streams containing audio and/or video programs, and has plurality of programmable operational blocks that can selectively process transport stream sections, as well as an IP packet generator. 摘要： The present invention relates to simultaneous multi-stream processing of conditional access digital media content. The invention allows for the elimination of latency errors produced when merging a plurality of transport streams and uses a module comprising a timing mark inserter and a packet scheduler. The timing mark inserter inserts information useful for the packet scheduler to schedule the transport packet at the right time. One characteristic engendered by the packet scheduler is that the resulting partial transport stream has exactly the same clock as the corresponding multi-programme transport stream MPTS received from the corresponding tuner. The packet scheduler re-uses the information inserted by the timing mark inserter so that the time distance between 2 transport packets carrying programme clock reference (PCR) information is maintained, i.e. the number of transport packets between the 2 packets carrying PCR information stays the same.
