摘要： Provided is a vehicle control device with which improved fuel economy and lowered exhaust gas emissions can be effectively achieved without adversely affecting the driver when traveling while following a leading vehicle. The present invention has: a following-determination means (53) that, during travel while following a leading vehicle, determines, on the basis of the speed of the host vehicle, the speed of the leading vehicle, and the distance from the leading vehicle, whether the host vehicle will be able to follow the leading vehicle by coasting; and an idle stop determination means (55) that, when the following-determination means has determined that the host vehicle will be able to follow the leading vehicle by coasting, and the driving/travel state of the host vehicle satisfies other traveling idle stop criteria, determines that a traveling idle stop should be performed; and is provided with a determination criteria updating means (54) for updating the determination criteria for the idle stop determination means in regard to criteria such as the leading vehicle characteristics, road surface conditions, and weather. In the event that it has been determined, from the determination conditions that have been updated in regard to the leading vehicle characteristics, etc., that following by coasting is possible, a control to shut off the on-board engine is performed.

As the cranking is initiated, an atmospheric pressure is detected and an initial opening is set accordingly. The controller (31) controls the throttle (23) to the initial opening when the cranking is initiated, and controls the throttle to start to increase the throttle opening from the initial opening at a predetermined timing after the cranking initiation. By setting the initial opening based on one or both of the atmospheric pressure and the temperature at the time of cranking initiation, the intake negative pressure and the intake air amount are optimized.

The hybrid vehicle also comprises a second powertrain (201) with a second electric machine (203) to which the first and/or second drive axle (4; 204) can be coupled, wherein a respective drive torque can be provided via the first and second electric machine (3, 203). The invention is characterized by the following steps: operating the first electric machine (3) and actuating the starting element (6) after a first point in time (tv) such that a first electric machine (3) torque acting via the first powertrain (1) is reduced by a torque value (R) and operating the second electric machine (203) such that a second electric machine (203) torque acting via the second powertrain (201) is increased by a value (R) in a corresponding manner; and operating the first electric machine (3) and at least partly closing the disconnect clutch (7) after a second point in time (t0) such that the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine (2) is increased until a starting criterion is reached such that the internal combustion engine (2) supports a starting process.
