摘要： An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for detecting and replacing failed data storage. A read module 1002 reads data from an array of memory devices 902, 904 including memory devices 902 and extra memory devices 904 storing parity information from the memory devices 902. An ECC module 1004 determines, using an error correcting code ("ECC"), if errors exist in tested data and if the errors are correctable using the ECC. The tested data includes data read by the read module 1002. An isolation module 1006 selects a memory device 902 in response to the ECC module 1004 determining that errors exist in the data read by the read module 1002 and that the errors are uncorrectable. The isolation module 1006 replaces data read from the selected memory device 902 with replacement data and available data wherein the tested data further includes the available data combined with the replacement data.

摘要： In one embodiment, a method for efficiently classifying packets for a multi-processor/mutli-thread environment is provided. The method initiates with receiving a packet. Then, header information is extracted form the received packet. Next, a first hash value is calculated. Then, a field of interest in a lookup table is determined from the first hash value. Next, a second hash value is calculated. Then, the second hash value is compared to stored hash values in the field of interest of the lookup table to determine a match between the second hash value and one of the values in the field of interest of the lookup table. If there is a match, the received packet is transmitted to a processor corresponding to the one of the values in the row location of the lookup table. A network interface card and a system for efficiently classifying packets in a multicore/multithread environment are also provided.

摘要： An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for a baseboard management controller (BMC) which includes an FPGA with a monitor module for monitoring the operations parameters of a host computer device. In addition, the BMC has a host connector that connects the BMC to the system bus of the host computing device, allowing the BMC access to the computing elements on the host. The host connector has reconfigurable pins with connection configuration controlled by the FPGA. In addition, the BMC has a server with a processor and associated non-volatile memory on board. The operating system provides services to the host computing device and its constituent components, as well as allowing advanced networking and interconnectivity with other BMCs in a management network.

摘要： A method of replacing faulty disks in a redundant array of disks having a standby disk is proposed in which each disk in said redundant array is partitioned into areas and data are stored in some areas and check information is stored in other areas among said areas. A failure of a disk in said redundant array is detected and it is determined which areas were in use on the disk that failed. The data of the areas determined to be in use on the disk that failed are reconstructed by reading data and check information from other disks in the redundant array, without reconstructing data of areas that were determined not to be in use; and the data thus reconstructed are written on said standby disk.

摘要： A method of storing data in a redundant group of disks and a redundant array of disks are disclosed. A plurality of disks is partitioned into areas certain areas being designated as data areas for storing data. Certain other areas are designated as check areas for storing check information of corresponding data areas disposed on different disks in said group. In a semiconductor memory a usage status table is maintained indicating which areas are in use and which are not is use. From a host computer new data to be stored in said group of disks are received and a microprocessor chooses selected data areas in which to store said new data, which are written in said selected data areas. Further said microprocessor writes, in corresponding check areas, new check information pertaining to the new data written in said selected areas and to data in any corresponding areas indicated by said usage status table to be in use, but not pertaining to data areas not indicated to be in use.
