摘要： In a hybrid vehicle with fuel cells (60) and an engine (10) mounted thereon as energy output sources, the technique of the present invention adequately changes a working energy output source according to a driving state of the hybrid vehicle. The hybrid vehicle has the engine (10) and a motor (20), both enabling power to be output to an axle (17). The hybrid vehicle also has fuel cells (60) as a main electric power supply for driving the motor (20). The technique of the present invention changes the working energy output source between the fuel cells (20) and the engine (10), in order to reduce the output of the fuel cells (20) with consumption of a fuel for the fuel cells (20). With a decrease in remaining quantity of the fuel, the technique narrows a specific driving range, in which the motor (20) is used as the power source. The technique also causes the engine (10) to drive the motor (20) as a generator and charges a battery (50) not with electric power of the fuel cells (60) but with electric power generated by the motor (20). This arrangement effectively prevents the fuel for the fuel cells (60) from being excessively consumed in one driving mode. The fuel cells (60) can thus be used preferentially in a specific driving state of the hybrid vehicle where the fuel cells (60) have a high efficiency.

摘要： An automatic engine stop and restart device for a vehicle provided with a brake booster using an intake negative pressure generated by the engine rotation as the boost source, is provided with a sensor for detecting the negative pressure of the brake booster. The engine is restarted (steps 180 and 190) when the negative pressure decreases to a predetermined value or less during engine stop. Sufficient surge tank negative pressure, that is, the brake booster negative pressure, is secured by restarting of the engine. This prevents the deterioration of the brake booster function resulting from increased engine stop frequency.

摘要： An oil pressure controller of an automatic transmission which is capable of supplying engaging pressures to hydraulic servos of two frictional engaging elements which require different engaging pressures by a single pressure governing valve with a good pressure governing accuracy. The oil pressure controller comprises a hydraulic power source 10, hydraulic servos 70 and 80, signal pressure generating means 20, a pressure governing valve 30 for governing an oil pressure (P s ) from the hydraulic power source 10 by a signal pressure (P ACC ) and a control valve 40. The pressure governing valve 30 has a pressure receiving face A₁ to which the signal pressure is applied, a pressure receiving face A₂ to which the engaging pressure (P s ) is fed back in the opposite direction and a pressure receiving face A₃ for selecting whether the feedback of the engaging pressure is present or not in order to change the control gain of the pressure governing valve 30 in response to the change of the control valve 40 for selecting the hydraulic servo 70 or 80 to which the oil pressure is supplied.

摘要： A shift control system for an automatic transmission, comprising a shift unit (11) for selecting by manipulating a shift lever (12) an automatic shift mode, in which a gear stage is determined on the basis of a running state of a vehicle, and a manual shift mode in which a gear state is determined from an output signal based on the manipulation. The shift unit has a drive range capable of setting a plurality of forward gear stages and a plurality of range positions arrayed and includes: a first shift path (13) for guiding the shift lever (12) into the range positions; a second shift path intersecting the first shift path for guiding the shift lever; two third shift paths formed at the two end portions of the second shift path, the third shift paths having at their individual end portions gear stage positions for indicating the forward gear stages in the automatic shift mode and for guiding the shift lever; and a manual shift instructor for outputting a signal instructing a gear stage corresponding to the gear stage position when the shift lever is moved to the gear stage position. The shift control system comprises a gear stage setter for setting the gear stage which is instructed by the output signal of the manual shift instructor.

A power distributing mechanism 16, which is provided with a differential-state switching device in the form of a switching clutch CO and a switching brake B0, is switchable by the switching device between a differential state (continuously-variable shifting state) in which the mechanism is operable as an electrically controlled continuously variable transmission, and a fixed-speed-ratio shifting state in which the mechanism is operable as a transmission having a fixed speed ratio or ratios. The power distributing mechanism 16 is placed in the fixed-speed-ratio shifting state during a high-speed running of the vehicle or a high-speed operation of engine 8, so that the output of the engine 8 is transmitted to drive wheels 38 primarily through a mechanical power transmitting path, whereby fuel economy of the vehicle is improved owing to reduction of a loss of conversion of a mechanical energy into an electric energy. The mechanism 16 is also placed in the fixed-speed-ratio shifting state during a high-output operation of the engine 8, so that the required electric reaction of first electric motor M1 can be reduced, whereby the required size of the first electric motor M1, and the required size of the drive system 10 including the electric motor M1 can be reduced.
