摘要： A silver halide photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide photographic emulsion layer containing at least one sensitizing dye represented by formula (I) and at least one compound represented by formula (II). ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which may be the same or different, each represent an alkyl group which may be substituted and at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is an acetylaminoalkyl group or an N-alkylcarbamoylaminoalkyl group; and V.sub.1 and V.sub.2, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a trifluoromethyl group. ##STR2## wherein Z represents a non-metallic atomic group required for forming a heterocyclic ring; M represents a hydrogen atom, an --NH.sub.4 group or an alkali metal atom; X represents an >NR group, a sulfur atom or an oxygen atom wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group, and a method for processing the silver halide photographic material.

The emulsion can be used to prepare a photographic material which has high green-sensitivity which is obtained without expanding the wavelength region of spectral sensitivity in the green sensitive region.
