    • PURPOSE:To realize a protective safety operation of plant upon occurrence of abnormality by providing a section for deciding an abnormality based on various signals from a nuclear power plant, and a section for predicting the operating state of the plant, producing a protective operation command for avoiding stoppage of plant, and then delivering an operation command. CONSTITUTION:The plant protective system 13 takes in various signals from a plant through an abnormality deciding section 14 and a predicting section 15. When such a decision is made that the state of plant is abnormal at the section 14, a countermeasure deciding section 16 predicts and decides a necessary countermeasure operation based on abnormality decision information and predictive information from the section 15. Upon receiving an abnormality decision signal of pump trip at a turbine driven water supply section from the section 14 and predictive information of reduction of water supply to half from the section 15, the section 16 lowers the output of a nuclear reactor depending on the water supply through a countermeasure operation command section 17. Alternatively, protective operation can be effected by deciding whether the countermeasure operation should be effected at a control period or it can be started with some lag.

    • PURPOSE:To enable suppression of a water level changing of a nuclear reactor by decreasing a pressure changing rate gradually and by getting a target pressure value close to a certain value, when a changing rate of reactor water temperature calculated from a measured value of the reactor water temperature, differs from a predetermined specific value. CONSTITUTION:In case that a pressure setting value is set by an automatic calculator, coolant temperature theta is read in a course of depressurization at a specific time interval and a temperature changing rate theta ' of a coolant is calculated. After that, an absolute value of the changing rate theta ' is compared with the predetermined target value theta '0. When the absolute value of the chang ing rate theta ' is larger than the target value theta '0, a pressure changing rate is made to decrease gradually and a target pressure value is made to get gradually close to a certain value. In this situation, when being shifted from a depressurization process to a constant pressure controlling one, with a constant pressure changing rate, the pressure setting value is made to change gradually by a function of a digital filter. With this reason, a turbine by-pass valve does not close suddenly and therefore a changing of a reactor water level can be well suppressed.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the excess increase of neutrons at the time of a load follow-up operation so that the scram of a nuclear reactor is prevented and the safe operation is continued by generating the correction signal based on the deviation signal between a reference neutron flux value and a measured neutron flux value when the reference neutron value is exceeded. CONSTITUTION:A recirculation flow rate control system controls an MG set via a reference speed request limiter 17, a speed controller 18, a scoop pipe position regulator 19, etc., by the correction signal obtd. by correcting the deviation of the output of a main controller 16 from the reference value of the neutron flux signal by a corrector 30 and regulates further the recirculation flow rate by controlling the speed of a recirculation pump, thereby suppressing the excessive increase of the neutron fluxes. The corrector 30 is constituted of a filter 31, an adder 32 for determining the deviation signal between the neutron flux signal and the reference value, a limiter 33 and a series dynamic operation compensator 34. The reference value is the value which exists above the value obtd. by superposing a stationary noise width on the rated value of the standardized neutron flux and below the scram level of the reactor.

    • PURPOSE:To stably control a water level of a drainage tank by changing a drainage water-level set value when a drainage water-level rises to the upper limit of a normal control range and changing the set value to a water level set value before the change when the water level becomes a reference water level or below. CONSTITUTION:By adding a water level signal 10 of a normal water level detector 9 to a water level signal 14 of an emergency use water level detector 13, a water level signal 21 corresponding to a wide range water level detector is calculated. By allowing this water level signal 21 to pass through a hysteresis 22, water level setting 23 of an emergency use water level control system is given, and a water level deviation signal 24 is calculated. Also, this signal is allowed to pass through a limiter 25, an emergency use control range is prescribed, and thereafter, by an emergency use control system 15, a linear PID operation is executed. In this case, Lu denotes a value corresponding to the upper limit water level of a normal water level control system 15. A limiter 26 gives a saturation characteristic to an output of the emergency use control system 15, and allowed to have an integral rest wind-up operating function of a PID operation. When a real water level is within a normal control range, a water level set value of the emergency use control system 15 is 2Lu, and a bypass holds a fully closed state.

    • PURPOSE:To enable controlling water supply rate and suppress the fluctuation of reactor water level by operating a water supply command correction signal with a water supply command correction device based on a unit water inventory estimation device. CONSTITUTION:A water supply controller 20 estimates the change of unit water inventory due to change of void fraction in the reactor pressure vessel with using a unit holding water quantity estimation device 21 with input signals of three signals of water supply rate signal 14a, main steam flow-rate signal 15a and reactor water level signal 16a. A water supply command correction signal 22a for suppressing the change of reactor water level due to the change of unit water inventory estimated with the unit water inventory estimation device 21 is outputted from a water supply command correction device 22. The water supply command signal 20a is obtained as a sum of water supply command signal 17a from a proportional integrator 17 and water supply command correction signal 22a from the water supply command correction device 22. By this, even for the case of a transient change associated with the reactor power change, the change of reactor water level is suppressed and reactor scram is avoided.
