    • PURPOSE:To prevent clogging of cord-like carriers and the carrier units thereof by installing the carrier units consisting of plural arrays of the cord-like carriers which are hung in a vertical direction and in parallel to single or multiple stages into a reaction column. CONSTITUTION:The waste water poured from a waste water feed port 15 to a water pressure drop detecting pan 17 falls by gravity in a waste water feed pipe 20 and ascends by passing the spaces between the arrays of the cord-like carriers 12 hung in parallel in the vertical direction as shown in the figure a white arrow W after arriving at the bottom of the reaction column 10. The waste water 1 comes into contact with the bacteria held on the cord-like carriers 12 and is cleaned during the ascending. The cleaned and treated water 4 is passed through a water collecting pan 19 and a water sealing device 24 and a discharged to the outside of the reaction column 10. The carriers 12 formed to a cord shape and are hung in parallel in the vertical direction guide the waste water upward and since the cord-like carriers 12 are arranged along the flow of the waste water, the deposition of the suspensible floating solids and sludge on the surface thereof is extremely decreased and the clogging of the cord-like carriers 12 and the carrier units 11 thereof is prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settling method of a water surface floating organism capable of suppressing the generation of water bloom without affecting an ecosystem even in a water area holding enormous quantity of water and a device therefor. SOLUTION: A water surface floating organism 6 is sucked by a self-supply pump 17 from an intake port 14 coming in contact with a water surface 2 in which the water surface floating organism 6 exists and air bubbles stick, to be recovered, the recovered floating organism 6 is sent to a top part nozzle 27 of a deaerating cylinder 23 from the self-supply pump 17, ejected from the nozzle 27, the sticking air bubbles are separated from the floating organism 6 and after separating the air bubbles, the floating organism 7 is dropped to the bottom of the deaerating cylinder 23. The dropping organism 7 on the bottom of the deaerating cylinder 23 is introduced into an underwater depth part from a discharge port 30 through a pipe line 36 and settled. The dropping organism is deposited preferably through the pipe line 36 on the water bottom 3.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the maintenance of structural members of the title device and to prevent the treated water from becoming turbid by providing a pulling-up mechanism to support the structural members to be higher than the highest water level of the treated water vessel and floating a water collecting trough on the water surface only when the discharge of water is carried out. CONSTITUTION:When the discharge of the treated water is not carried out, the water collecting trough 43 hinged to the supporting arm 41 is supported higher than the highest water level(HWL) by pulling up the supporting arm 41 with the pulling-up mechanism 48 working from the upward position. When the treated water is to be discharged, the supporting arm 41 is disengaged from the pulling-up mechanism 48 and the water collecting trough is floated on the water surface of the treatment vessel 1 by a float 10 so that the water collecting trough 43 is vertically moved according to the vertical movement of water level, and the treated water 2 is discharged upwards by a submerged pump 32 installed to the water collecting trough 43. As a result, the maintenance and the inspection are easy because no structural members are always submerged in the water, and the mixed liquid is not flowed in during aeration and agitation.
