摘要： A new antibiotic, named Conagenin, is provided which can exhibit useful carcinostatic or antitumor activities on carcinomas and tumors, particularly malignant tumors, of mammalian animals including man. Conagenin can be produced by fermentation of microorganisms of genus Streptomyces, typically Streptomyces roseosporus MI696-AF3 strain identified under the deposit number FERM BP-2738. Conagenin has formula (I) and is useful for medicinal purposes, particularly as carcinostatic agent or antitumor agent for inhibiting carcinomas and malignant tumors of mammalian animals, including man.

摘要： A digital camera of the present invention includes a microcomputer 110 having a live view mode controlling so that image data generated by a CMOS sensor 130 or image data obtained by subjecting the image data generated by the CMOS sensor 130 to predetermined processing is displayed on a liquid crystal monitor 150 as a moving image in real time, wherein when a release button 141 receives an instruction regarding start of an autofocus operation in a live view mode, the microcomputer 110 controls a movable mirror to enter an optical path to measure by an AF sensor 132, and thereafter, allow the movable mirror to retract from the optical path to return the digital camera to the live view mode. Due to this configuration, in a digital camera that includes a movable mirror and is capable of displaying a subject image in a live view through an electronic viewfinder, the operability thereof can be enhanced.

摘要： A method of operating a display device comprising a display panel comprises receiving main and side image pixel data respectively representing a main image (S1) and a side image (S2). For each of a plurality of pixel groups (S3), where each pixel group comprises at least one pixel of the main image pixel data and at least one spatially corresponding pixel of the side image pixel data, a predetermined mapping is performed (S4) using the pixel data of the pixel group as input. The mapping holds output pixel data for the input pixel data which is known to produce an average on-axis luminance with substantially no dependence on the side image pixel data of the group and an average off-axis luminance with substantially no dependence on the main image pixel data of the group. The signals used to drive the display panel are determined from the output pixel data (S5).
