摘要： A connector for joining together two lengths of FPC or FFC- type cable has a housing (31) and two FPC- cable-receiving slots (33) formed therein, on the same side of the housing. The slots are disposed in the housing on opposite sides of an axis of symmetry, and the slots each contain a plurality of conductive terminals (41). The terminals each have a fixed contact beam (43) spaced apart and aligned with a moveable contact beam (44). The contact beams flank each of the cable-receiving slots and are pressed into contact with contact portions of the FPC cable by actuators (11) that are moved in opposite directions. The actuators spread the contact beams apart in response to movement in one direction and urge them toward each other in the other direction.

摘要： A connector for connecting together two ends of flat flexible cable includes a base member and a cover member. The base member has a plurality of slots that receive a corresponding number of conductive terminals. The terminals have two upward bends in them near their midpoint and these bends are spaced apart longitudinally along the terminals so as to mate with exposed ends of the lengths of flat cable. Two projections serve as press arms to retain a cover in place upon the base member. The cover exerts a pressure on the cable ends and the terminals to provide a reliable electrical contact between them.

摘要： A connector assembly is suitable for connecting circuit boards together. The connector assembly includes a series of ground and signal terminal sets assembled in composite wafers that may be held within a housing. The ground terminals include pairs of flat contact blades that are aligned together in abutting contact to form a column of ground contacts blades of double width, and the signal terminals are arranged in sets on opposite sides of the ground terminal blades and the signal terminals have general L-shapes that are arranged in sets of two pairs of contacts to form a cruciform pattern. One of the two connectors has solid L-shaped contacts, while the other of the two connectors has a pair of split contact arms that lie and extend in two different planes project from an associated terminal body in a manner so as to mate with the contact portions of the solid L-shaped contacts. The use of L-shaped contacts provides a redundant contact mating arrangement.
