摘要： A device for producing an electromagnetic radiation of predetermined properties is configured as a layered structure and includes a light interacting layer, in communication with at least one light emitting source, and having one or more light interacting regions, each configured to define a closed-loop light mixing path for optically coupling a pair of input coherent light components of predetermined first and second frequencies to create an output radiation component of a third beating frequency of a predetermined high-frequency profile. The device further includes a control layer interfacing with said light interacting layer and configured for controllable switching between inoperative opaque and operative transparent states with respect to the at least one third beating frequency, to selectively prevent and allow transmission of the at least one output radiation component of the third frequency towards a medium in the vicinity of the layered structure.

摘要： An EUV radiation light source generation apparatus includes a pump laser, at least one pulse shaping unit, a wavelength conversion unit, and a high-order harmonics generation unit. The pump laser provides a pulse laser radiation beam. Each pulse shaping unit conducts a spectrum extending operation and a phase compensation operation to the pulse laser radiation beam. The phase compensation operation makes multiple frequency components of the pulse laser radiation beam emitted by the pulse shaping unit to be substantially in phase. The wavelength conversion unit conducts a center wavelength conversion operation to the pulse laser radiation beam. The high-order harmonics generation unit receives the pulse laser radiation beam processed by the pulse shaping unit and the center wavelength conversion operation, and focuses the received pulse laser radiation beam to a high order harmonic generation medium to generate a high order harmonic radiation beam.

Um ein Verfahren bzw. eine Vorrichtung zur phasensensitiven Detektion von Terahertz-Strahlung bereitzustellen, welche die Erfassung von Amplitude und Phase der Terahertz-Strahlung mit kommerziell erhältlichen Detektoren im sichtbaren Bereich ermöglichen, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, eine elektromagnetische Basisstrahlung in eine Pump- und eine Referenzstrahlung aufzuspalten, wobei die Pumpstrahlung zur Erzeugung einer Terahertz-Strahlung dient und wobei die Referenzstrahlung nochmals in eine Peakstrahlung und eine Reststrahlung aufgespalten wird. Die Peakstrahlung wird anschließend mit der Terahertz-Strahlung unter Bildung einer Mischstrahlung gemischt, wobei die Mischstrahlung, die die Informationen der Terahertz-Strahlung in Nebenbändern enthält, mit der Reststrahlung räumlich überlagert wird, sodass aus einem erfassten Interferenzsignal die Phasenlage der Terahertz-Strahlung ausgewertet werden kann.

The apparatus further comprises one or more photon sources for outputting photons in a first frequency band and a second frequency band towards the non- linear medium, the first frequency band being representative of a first numeric value and the second frequency band being representative of a second numeric value. The apparatus further comprises an input to receive a signal indicative of at least one numeric value. The apparatus further comprises logic to select at least one of the first frequency band and second frequency band in dependence on the signal. The apparatus further comprises a detector configured to detect photons in a third frequency band that have been output from the non-linear medium in response to photons from at least one of the one or more photon sources in the at least one of the first frequency band and second frequency band being incident on the non-linear medium, the third frequency band representative of a third numeric value. The photons incident on the non-linear medium are subject to the non-linear phenomenon of the non-linear medium to perform an arithmetic operation on one or both of the first numeric value and the second numeric value to generate the third numeric value.
