摘要： A dog clutch with ratcheting one-way clutch includes an axis, a dog clutch ring, a first ring, a second ring, and a plurality of rockers. The dog clutch ring has a plurality of first teeth. The first ring includes a plurality of second teeth, complementary to the first teeth, a first spline for receiving a first shaft, and a plurality of first pockets. The second ring includes a plurality of third teeth, complementary to the first teeth, a second spline for receiving a second shaft, and a plurality of second pockets. The plurality of rockers is disposed in a one of the plurality of first pockets or the plurality of second pockets for selectively engaging with the other one of the plurality of first pockets or the plurality of second pockets to prevent rotation of the first ring relative to the second ring in only one rotational direction.

摘要： A drive shaft assembly is provided for allowing rotation of a drive shaft in a single direction. The drive shaft assembly includes a housing, a drive shaft and an overrunning clutch. The overruning clutch includes an inner race having an outer annular contact surface and an outer race having an inner annular contact surface spaced radially from the inner race. The inner annular contact surface and the outer annular contact surface form an annular space therebetween. Provided within this annular space are a plurality of sprags which allow the inner race to rotate in a first direction relative to the outer race while preventing the inner race from rotating in a second direction to the outer race. A drive housing is secured to the outer race and a drive shaft is secured to the inner race so that when rotational force is provided to the drive shaft in the first direction, the drive shaft rotates, but when force is applied to rotate the drive shaft in the reverse direction, the torsional forces on the drive shaft are transferred through the overrunning clutch to the housing thereby preventing rotation of the drive shaft in the second direction. In the preferred embodiment, the drive shaft is coupled to a piston assembly which transfers linear actuation of the piston to rotational movement of the drive shaft.

When the linear motion causes the gear to move, the motion is not transferred to the driver.

摘要： A transmission for a manually operated wheeled machine includes an output shaft having a close-ended axial channel. A drive gear mounted on the output shaft includes an engaging groove. A ratchet is received in the channel and is in engagement with the engaging groove. A holder mounted on the output shaft includes a relief that receives the ratchet. A friction member applies radial friction to the holder to temporarily prevent rotation of the holder with the output shaft in a drive condition of the machine moving the ratchet into engagement with the engaging groove, and in the drive condition the drive gear and holder rotate with the output shaft. In a freewheeling condition of the machine the output shaft is stationary, and an overdrive of the drive gear disengages the ratchet from the engaging groove allowing for free rotation of the drive gear about the stationary output shaft.
