A second layer (124) includes two films that are sealed together peripherally that define a back chamber. A portion of a peripheral edge of the second layer (124) is sealed to a portion of a peripheral edge of the first layer (120) to define a first opening (130) so that the pocket (132) defined between the first layer (120) and the second layer (124) opens to the first opening (130). The first opening (130) and the pocket (132) allow the user to stuff a material (134) into the pocket (132) through the first opening (130). A first silicone rubber is disposed in the front chamber and is cured in an outer shape of a breast. A second silicone rubber is disposed in the back chamber.

摘要： A prosthesis, for example a breast or a finger prosthesis, is formed for mating with a first body portion of a user such that the prosthesis is symmetrical with a second body portion of the user. The prosthesis is formed at a manufacturing location using castings of the first and second body portions which the user creates themselves at a user location separate from the manufacturing location using a user casting kit. The user casting kit includes casting material, skin colour samples and any additional tools required for the subsequent manufacture of a custom prosthesis without the user being required to leave the user location. Alternatively, the user can submit their own image data and use a computer based tool to make various selections subsequently used by the manufacturer to produce the prosthesis.
