    • The invention constitutes an arrangement for cooling a vehicle component, for example a transmission (2), disposed adjacent to an engine (1), which arrangement comprises a cooling circuit (8) designed to feed a coolant through said transmission (2) and comprising a line (16) for coolant to the transmission (2) and a line (17) for coolant to the transmission (2). According to the invention, said cooling circuit (8) is also designed to cool said engine (1) and comprises a further line (13) for feeding said coolant to the engine, and the cooling circuit (8) comprises a flow control valve (15) for controlling the coolant in the cooling circuit (8) such that the flow of coolant to the vehicle component (2) is lower than the flow to the engine (1). As a result of the invention, an improved arrangement is obtained for cooling, for example, a transmission, for example in heavy goods vehicles.
